The Abominations Of King Manasseh Against God (part 2)
~2.0 mins read
Good day to you all my wonderful pejoweb readers. Welcome to part 2 of this article.

In this part 2, We shall continue to look at other abominations made against God by King Manasseh.

I believe you still remembered the three points highlighted in part 1, if no, kindly check the previous post through this link:
https://pejoweb.com/articles.php?epr=view&pagename=1657718849TheAbominationsofKingManassehAgainstGodpart1Edesajoel.html&title=Article:%20The%20Abominations%20of%20King%20Manasseh%20Against%20God%20(part%201)

Let's continue from verse 4-6:
"2Kgs.21.4 - He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem I will put My name."
2Kgs.21.5 - And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
2Kgs.21.6 - Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger."

From the above scripture passage we've just read, we point out four things he did wrong to provoke God:

1).  King Manasseh built pagan altars in the house of God

You can see from here that this was totally against the instructions God gave the children of Israel during the rain of King David.
God against building any altart to serve any other gods except Him.

2). King Manasseh also built altars for all the host of heavens.

In part 1 of this article, I mentioned examples of heavenly bodies such as Sun, stars etc. This wicked king didn't not only serve the heavenly bodies but also built altars for them against God's commandments

3).  King Manasseh made his son's to pass through fire!

What a great abomination! Imagine a human being making his son's to pass through ????.
This is one of the worst abominations he made during his reign as king and God was greatly provoked to anger concerning him.

4). King Manasseh used enchantments and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards

This is a complete deviation from the laws and regulations givet to the people of Israel by God.
Our God is a jealous God. You can't be serving God and serve any other gods in your heart.
Don't be like King Manasseh, let your devotion to God be 100 % .

To be continued.........✍️

5 Reasons To Question Christianity
~1.8 mins read

Christianity, one of the world's largest religions, has shaped societies, cultures, and individual lives for centuries. However, despite its widespread influence, there are valid reasons why some individuals may question or choose not to believe in its teachings. Here are five points to consider:

1. **Contradictions in Scripture**: The Bible, the foundational text of Christianity, contains numerous contradictions and inconsistencies. From discrepancies in historical accounts to conflicting moral teachings, these inconsistencies raise doubts about the divine inspiration and inerrancy of the text. For skeptics, the presence of such discrepancies challenges the credibility of Christianity as a whole.

2. **Problem of Evil**: One of the most enduring philosophical challenges to Christianity is the problem of evil. If God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and wholly benevolent, why does evil and suffering exist in the world? Theodicy attempts to reconcile this apparent contradiction, but for many, the existence of suffering remains a significant barrier to accepting Christian beliefs about the nature of God.

3. **Unverifiable Claims**: Christianity, like many religions, relies on faith in unverifiable claims. From the existence of miracles to the divinity of Jesus Christ, much of Christian doctrine rests on events and concepts that cannot be empirically tested or proven. While faith is central to religious belief, skeptics may find it difficult to accept teachings that lack tangible evidence.

4. **Cultural and Historical Context**: The origins of Christianity, like any historical phenomenon, are shaped by cultural and historical context. The development of Christian theology, doctrines, and practices occurred within specific cultural milieus influenced by prevailing beliefs, political dynamics, and social norms. Understanding this context can lead to questioning the universality and absolute truth claims of Christian teachings.

5. **Diversity of Beliefs**: Christianity is not a monolithic entity but rather a diverse collection of traditions, denominations, and interpretations. This diversity extends to fundamental beliefs, practices, and moral teachings, leading to theological disagreements and doctrinal disputes among Christians themselves. For skeptics, this fragmentation raises questions about the coherence and consistency of Christian doctrine.

In conclusion, while Christianity has provided spiritual guidance and meaning to millions of people around the world, it is not immune to scrutiny and skepticism. The contradictions in scripture, the problem of evil, reliance on unverifiable claims, cultural and historical context, and diversity of beliefs are legitimate reasons why some individuals may choose not to believe in Christianity. Ultimately, the decision to accept or reject Christian teachings is a deeply personal one, shaped by a myriad of factors including reason, experience, and worldview.
