On the night of the 9th of December 2016, I was watching the Legacy of Obama hosted by Fareed Zakaria on CNN. Rebecca just got back from work and we got talking. As we spoke about the events of the day, she asked me a question “Where is that your friend, Caitlyn (Not real name), that very pretty girl.
Do you know where she is?” The question sounded casual. I thought she would say, “Caitlyn, is now in Lagos, somebody told me”, I wanted to pretend like I didn’t care much about her whereabout. So I replied casually too “I do not know, I have not spoken to her in about six years”, so where is she? I asked.
Rebecca gave a heart breaking “She is dead” reply.

Heartbroken, I couldn’t react. “hmmm” was my reaction. Rebecca thought I was a tough guy to take such news lightly. If you must know, I am tough and have taken such news lightly in the past. I have taken “death” news lightly in the past. I used to think that death was liberati.
