Christmas In The Village Pt2

On getting to the stream,it was so quiet and scary, because everyone in the village was out for the masquerade festival,they swam and soon it was getting dark so they started heading back home, through a lonely path,it was frenzy,soon they were hearing footsteps right behind them,as they increased their pace,the footsteps increases at same pace.
They were freaking out and just when they were about to run, a masquerade appeared from the bush,they took to their heels shouting and crying but the masquerade chased after them flogging them with his cane till they were out of the bush paths.
Pete was crying and couldn't walk anymore,they had to sit and catch their breathes at the village market.
It was indeed an unforgettable memory,both parents were so worried that they sent out search parties for their lost kids.
They saw them at the Village Market and took them Home.
Grandma massaged Dayo with hot water and preached to him about disobedience.
And he promised not try that again.
The next day,Dayo had gone to visit Peter to see his face swollen, bruises all over him,he couldn't help but laugh out loud...Peter was a bit Fatty,he couldn't run very well and so got the highest flog.
"Let's go to the stream again today Pete". Dayo teased making faces at Pete who tries to stand but yells in pain.😅😅.
It was 3 days before Christmas,pete had fully recovered and they were both okay.
On that faithful day,a boy had passed by with bags full of Mangoes,Dayo and Peter were both surprised to how the boy got Mangoes and it wasn't even Mango season,so they decided to inquire.
"Hey Sam,where did you get all those Mangoes from". Pete called out and asked.
The boy promised to show them where he got his Mangoes the next day.
They thanked him and he went his way.
Pete had gone to call on Dayo the next day for the day's adventure,he whistled and Dayo was out in no time with a big Sack.
"We will pluck plenty" he said smiling.
They met with the boy and soon set off taking a bush path and walked farther into the forest zone.
"Where is the mango tree,we are going too far already.? Pete complained and stopped walking. He was obviously tired.
"There!!!...Sam said pointing to a Mango tree ahead.
They all raced down to the Mango tree,lo and behold there were ripe Mangoes, Dayo and Pete danced for joy.
In no time,they were on top of the tree and Pete starts shaking the tree vigorously,he was just having fun and they didn't notice the buzzing of bees 🐝 🐝 🐝.
They have just destroyed the beehives hence rendering the bees homeless.
The bees didn't find it funny, as they swam in groups to attack their oppressors.
"Bees ooo!run!!!... Sam alerted and took off in no time leaving the two to their fate.
Before they could jump down from the tree,the angry bees were all over them, stinging life out of them.
This time around,Pete ran faster,the bees pursued tearing off their fine skins with stings.
"Yehh bees! Bees!!!... They kept shouting as they ran back home panting,they fell down to the ground,their skin swollen up, leaving them totally disfigured.
Grandma reminded Dayo, "A stubborn flies follows his corpse to the grave".
He who refuses to learn the easy way, learns in a harder way...
Mummy wá having seen Dayo in such state, exclaimed, "Honey I told you about us coming to the Village". 😔😔
