Sexually transmitted disease are infection that can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, sharing of sharp objects etc. Eg are Human Immune Deficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. 

As this viruses attacks the immune system leaving the body exposed to disease and also destroy the body's ability to fight disease.

Preventions:

1. Abstain from sex or if you should use a condom.

2. Before going into marriage the intending couples should go for HIV AND AIDS  screening.

3. Aviod pre marital sex.

4. Avoid sharing of object eg: needless, razor blades and syringe with infected person
