It broke my heart to see him so alone and confused. And suddenly I managed to make his teary eyes meet mine. I don't like the smell of sad. I wanted so badly to jump on him. He spoke to me tenderly and I knew, I had to rescue him! That human needed me. So I barked with all my might, followed him for blocks and blocks.

 I got closer, I could smell his hands. The human smiled for an instant and when he took me in his arms, I began to feel his cold heart warm. I got close to his cheeks and felt a tear roll down them. I looked deeply at him and his response was a bright smile. I jumped excitedly into his arms, I promised to behave myself, love him forever and never leave his side.

How lucky he was to pass through that block, down that street and I also feel lucky.

 There were so many people walking by and no one was looking at me. All worried, all involved in his problems. I'm glad no one else chose me! Today I saved a life. Today I adopted a human. 🐾🕊️💞

Pets are primarily animals which are kept and nutured by human beings for companionship or entertainment. Pets are also known as companion animals. According to the old stories my Dad told me, animals who currently live with humans were all wild and man brought them home from his hunting activities to stay with him and be cared for by man. So that's the reason why we have animals as our friends/pets perfectly living with us at home. I later grew up to understand that this process of making species fit for human environment is known as domestication

Popular pets kept by man are dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, rats, mice, parrots, pigs, alligators, crocodiles, snakes etc. Personally, I love and have had dogs and cats before. It's really amazing having them around and I also would love to someday owe a parrot as a pet

Most people keep pets for companionship, to protect home or property or to perceive the attractiveness of animals. I mean it's gives me great joy to just stare at my pets, they're so cute and lovely.

According to research, Americans are the largest pets owners in the world. They keep them indoors and train them better to behave like kids. In Nigeria, we mostly keep pets for protection of home and property

Benefits of pets I adm

Firstly, I love the attractive appearances, intelligence and the amazing relatable personality of pets especially cats and dogs. These pets display their level of intelligencee in different forms in areas like sensing danger/dangerous people, sensing weak emotions of owners and all. Cats and dogs have cute relatable personality with humans, they are best for companionship.

Secondly, pets provide physical benefits for the owner/guardian. In cases where you take them (e.g dog) out for a walk, you and both the dog get exercised, fresh air and the benefit of social interaction.

Last but not the least, pets also provide emotional benefits to the owners especially the elderly and lonely people who normally don't have adequate interaction with people. Again, they gladdens the hearts of their owners with their playful acts thereby bringing peace and joy
