Woman Sells Three Week Old Baby For N600,000 In Ogun
~1.6 mins read
The Ogun  State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old woman, Mary Olatayo, for allegedly selling her three weeks old baby for N600,000.
The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested following a complaint from the father of the baby.
The PPRO said the father reported the matter at Mowe divisional headquarters, narrating that, he met Mary Olatayo sometime ago and they started dating each other.
He said “The man stated further that, Mary got pregnant in the process and he rented an apartment for her where she lived till she was delivered of a baby boy.
“He complained further that the lady suddenly disappeared with the baby from the apartment three weeks after delivery only for her to be found in a hotel where she has gone for a hookup with another man.
“All efforts to know where the baby is proved futile.
“On the strength of his complaint, the DPO Mowe division, SP Folake Afeniforo, detailed detectives to the scene where the suspect was arrested and brought to the station.
“On interrogation, Mary Olatayo confessed to the police that she has sold the baby to someone in Anambra State at the rate of six hundred thousand naira.
“She confessed that it was her friend Chioma Esther Ogbonna who led her to the buyer in Anambra and that they both shared the money equally.
“Her confession led to the arrest of Chioma Esther Ogbonna who also corroborated Mary’s claims.
“Further investigation revealed that Mary Olatayo a native of Omu-Aran in Kwara state is a call girl, who sees the baby as a disturbance to her business hence she decided to do away with the baby.
“Fortunately for her, she has an accomplice in Chioma, a native of Imo state who quickly contacted the buyer in Anambra state.”
The PPRO said the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation.
He said, “The CP also directed that everything possible must be done to recover the baby.”

Who Is this ? By E I VICTOR

once I had this question about this
woman
I wanted to know her identity

The other day, I saw her teaching some kids
So I thought she was a teacher

Two days ago,I saw her telling some children about the Creator so I thought she was a preacher

Yesterday,I saw her advising some youngsters so I thought she was a counsellor

In the morning I saw her nursing a sick child so I thought she was a nurse

At noon, she was busy cooking and I thought she was a chef

In the evening, she was busy cleaning all kinds of messes in the house and I thought she was a housekeeper

I once saw her driving some children to many places so I thought she was a chauffeur

At many different times did she do many different things that made me believe she was many different things

I only came to the understanding of this great personality when I encountered the wise sage who told me that she was a MOTHER

I discovered that being a mother was a profession on it's own
A very great profession it was
It's a profession that encompasses many others and for that I salute all mothers
They're champions

We were living in a small community/ village and you know how village life be na....suffer!😰

My father was a palm wine tapper and a hunter at same time, then my mother had nothing doing she will follow my my grandmother her Mom to the farm everyday.  It was helping at that moment tho because the farm products such as cassava which we harvested was proccessed to garri, others ones were plantian, banana etc.

And the funny part of it is this is that my siblings and I are the one's the thing is affecting because after school, the next thing is farm, weekends too farm.....farm, farm, farm and farm no rest.  That's the source of my Mom's income to take care of us and our school expenses.

Back to my father. All the villagers calls him the great Hunter and same time they all hated him and wants him dead just because he's not going around bagging them for food.

My stepmother and my mother are always fighting themselves reasons best know to them . Although my mom said that my Dad got married to her because she didn't conceive on time and his mom my grandmother adviced him to get a second wife, maybe that was my Mom's bitterness towards her mate and for the fact that my stepmother has a provision store were she sales to take care of her self and her children while my mom just have to got to the farm to survive 😭😭😭

How I murdered Islamic cleric who offered me free ride - Soldier confesses (video)

A soldier who murdered an Islamic cleric after he offered him a free ride has confessed to the crime as he recounted the incident.

Sheikh Goni Aisami gave a ride to a soldier named John Gabriel at Nguru Army Barrack.

The soldier said he was going to Jaji-Maji in Yobe and the cleric let him get in the car.

However, the soldier shot at the cleric during the journey on Friday, August 19, and tried to make away with his Honda 2006 model.

The Police Command in Yobe has arrested two persons in connection with the murder.

While being paraded, John Gabriel explained that he lured the Islamic cleric to his death by telling him there's a sound coming from his car.

When the Islamic cleric got down to check under the car for the source of the sound, the soldier also got down from the car and brought out his gun.

He said that when the cleric saw him pointing the gun at him, he asked what he had done  and he (suspect) told him he hasn't done anything.

John said he then fired a warning shot, hoping the cleric would run away but he didn't. He said that he fired a second warning shot and it hit the cleric, killing him.

The Yobe Police Command’s Spokesman, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed that the two suspects had claimed to be soldiers attached to 241 Recce Model Battalion, Nguru.

He said the incident occurred at about 10 pm on Friday after Aisami gave one of the suspects a lift.

He explained that Aisami was driving his car to Gashua from Nguru, when the principal suspect who was in mufti and carrying a camp bed, pleaded with him for a lift to Jaji-Maji.

He said that on approaching Jaji-Maji, the principal suspect brought out an AK-47 and shot him twice to death.

Abdulkarim further said that the suspect tried to flee with the deceased’s car but failed, as it got stuck in the mud and the vehicle failed to start.

He put a call through to the second suspect, who drove another vehicle to the scene. Unfortunately for him, his drive shaft broke.

The two suspects then requested help from a vigilance group in Jaji-Maji. When the group arrived at the scene to tow the broken down vehicles, incidentally Aisami’s body was found at the scene.

Abdulkarim said it was the vigilance group that drew the attention of the police and the suspects, who said they were soldiers, were arrested.

Ethiopia Land Of The Free And Brave People
~1.1 mins read

ETHIOPIA - The country that was never colonised.

"Women marched alongside men to the battle at Adwa 126 years ago. Just like their men-folk, Ethiopian women were ready to sacrifice themselves to prevent colonialists from sneaking into their country, thus forcing their children to live in servitude.

Empress Taytu Bitul is clearly a symbolic women she was not only a diplomat and stateswoman with resolve, but also an ingenious commandant versed in the art of war, a tactician par excellence. Taytu collected ten to twelve thousand women in the camp and issued water jugs to all of them, the army of another kind filled their jugs at the river and were ready to carry water to those who fought, wherever they stood. The Italian colonizers even appealed to her on the behalf of their commander as they started suffering from thirst.

“Women’s role at the battle of Adwa revealed the truth that nothing can be done without the participation of women and it would be an exemplary deed for today’s effort to recognize women’s participation all over the world. We generally hear that Ethiopia won the battle. But we ignore the fact that women played decisive role in the victory. There were ten-thousands of women who prepared their fathers, brothers, husbands and sons for the war in which they also took part.

All in all women were the leading force behind the victory of Adwa, they were preparing food and water, providing medical care for the wounded and they were following the soldiers with a slogan of ‘freedom or death’. Lets not forget the role of our great grandmothers.”
