Yakubu said this at the inauguration of the House of Representatives Special Committee on the Review of 1999 Constitution (As Amended) on Thursday in Abuja.
He said that Nigerias electoral process was too manual and very archaic, adding that there must be an amendment to accommodate electronic voting in the countrys electoral process.
You have seen what we achieved in Edo where we were able to upload results electronically; so the impediment must be removed, he said
He also called for the establishment of electoral offences commission to punish offenders adding that the review of the constitution must provide a punitive measure for electoral offenders in the country.
He said that many panels had in the past wanted to establish electoral offences commission to punish electoral offenders but that could not materialise.
Yakubu said that before the 2015 general elections, INEC came out with the general principle that election would be held on the second Saturday in February.
According to him such is the practice in the U.S. and Ghana where they have a fixed day for their elections.
Going by this decision, from today we will have 855 days to the general election; so we have very limited time for the constitutional review, he stated.
Prof. Dakas Dakas, the Guest Speaker at the inauguration called on the committee to address the issues of referendum, restructuring and devolution of powers among others.
He urged the committee to make the review a truly Nigeria constitution, saying the imperative of the peoples constitution is germane to the survival of Nigeria.
Daily market update: The case of Bitcoin (Cryptocurrency)
Bob_Daddy
studio.opera.com
Welcome to your daily update of all Bitcoin’s price movements yesterday, including price, volume, the fear andoin Price
We closed yesterday, 12 August 2020, at a price of $11,410.53 – with a high of $11,932.71 and a low of $11,195.71.
It was the lowest closing price since 4 August 2020.
We’re still 43% below Bitcoin‘s all-time high of $20,089 (17 December 2017).
Market capitalisation
Bitcoin’s market capitalisation as of yesterday was $210,616,121,945. To put that into context, Jeff Bezos’s net worth is $188,500,000, which means he could only buy 85% of all Bitcoin. You can’t have everything, Jeff!
Bitcoin volume
The volume traded yesterday was $27,039,782,640. That's the highest it’s been since 2 August 2020.
To put that into context, the highest ever 24-hour volume is $53,060,690,000, last year’s high was $29,060,690,000, and last year’s average was $15,060,690,000.
Bitcoin volatility decreases
The volatility has been dropping again for bitcoin lately. The 30-day volatility is once again above the 7-day volatility, after a fairly flat week for the leading cryptocurrency. However, we’re still above the extremely low volatility we saw during the first weeks of July.
Fear and Greed Index
Cryptocurrency drops out of the Extreme Greed zone, but stays firmly in Greed with a fall from 84 to 75 – the lowest it’s been since 5 August 2020. Extreme fear can be a sign that investors are too worried, which could be a buying opportunity. When Investors are getting too greedy, that means the market may be due for a correction. With most coins doing well lately, it’s easy to get carried away. As highlighted last week, these “Extreme Greed” periods have been short-lived historically. Trade carefully.

The successor to the Exynos 980 will be called the 1080 and a Samsung researcher unveiled the first details about it. Note that this isnt Samsungs top chip for 2021, instead it will be used in high-end 5G phones. vivo has first dibs and will probably used for an X-series phone (the vivo X60 says Ice Universe).
The Exynos 1080 is a 5nm chipset, though the exact details on the manufacturing process are not known for now. It will join the growing ranks of 5 nm chips, starting with the Apple A14 but also including the Snapdragon 875, Kirin 9000 and Samsungs own flagship chipset (the Exynos 2100).
The Exynos 1080 will feature Cortex-A78 cores, replacing the A77 found inside its predecessor. According to ARMs official numbers, the A78 running at 2.1 GHz can deliver 20% more performance in the same power envelope than an A77 at 2.3 GHz. You can expect the new Samsung chip to perform a little better than that as the Exynos 980 actually ran its A77 cores at 2.2 GHz.
For the GPU, the natural choice is the Mali-G78. Thats two generations newer than the G76 used in the 980 chip, so the result should be a noticeable boost in performance and efficiency, though that will depend on the configuration that Samsung uses (the 980 GPU had five cores).
This info was revealed by Dr. Pan Xuebao, the director of Samsung Semiconductor Research Institute in China. The full announcement should be coming soon.
This still leaves the Exynos 2100, the successor to the Exynos 990 that will power some Galaxy S21 models early next year. The 990 was much more advanced than the 980 built on a 7 nm process (vs. 8 nm), it featured custom M5 CPU cores and a G77 GPU. This means its entirely plausible that Samsungs top chip will use the Cortex-X1 CPU core as some leaks have suggested.
