Why You Wake Up In The Morning With Mouth Odour And Ways To Prevent It.

Many people follow the proper hygiene of brushing their teeth and rinsing their mouth well enough before going to bed, and they do this to avoid having a bad mouth odor when they wake up in the morning, but in many cases they discover that their mouth still odors when they wake up in the morning, and they often don't know why they have this experience and ways of preventing it, which I will briefly discuss with you in this article.



 
1. According to Healthline, some people prefer using onion or garlic as a source of flavor to cook their meats or add to their foods, and some do eat garlic and onion for their medicinal benefits, and when they consume them, they mostly brush their teeth and rinse their mouth in the hope of having fresh breath when they wake up the next morning, not realizing that garlic has a strong odor that is often perceived after chewing or eating it, and

2. For some people, the glands that produce saliva in their mouth relax more when they are asleep, and this means they secrete less of the saliva that is needed to keep the mouth moist from drying out in order to prevent bacteria growth in the mouth. However, when the mouth becomes dry in the absence of insufficient saliva production, it gives ground for some mouth bacteria to grow, which can give bad breath when you wake up in the morning and open your mouth.


3. Good oral hygiene necessitates that you brush your teeth in the morning and evening before going to bed, but when you decline from these hygiene practices, your mouth may have some food particles hanging between your teeth which bacteria may feed on, and this can further result in bad breath when you wake up in the morning. It's advisable that you avoid indulging in poor oral hygiene.

4. For people who smoke and regularly use tobacco products, smoking in their mouth can also cause bad breath. If they smoke before going to bed at night, such people can wake up in the morning with an unpleasant taste in their mouth.



 
If you experience bad breath as a man or woman, the methods below are ways of preventing the occurrence. 

1. Water is needed by the body in the formation of saliva, and so you should make sure to drink enough water before you prepare to sleep. The reason for this is to have more saliva be formed in the mouth in order to prevent the mouth from becoming dry, which could result in bad breath when you eventually wake up in the morning.


2. Since you are well aware that some foods like garlic give off strong odors in the mouth when chewed or consumed, you should avoid taking them when you are preparing to sleep at night.

3. It's very critical that you avoid smoking before bedtime. When you don't smoke, you will do your body a lot of good and also avoid the occurrence of bad breath when you wake up in the morning.
