Nigeria is a great nation and comprises of 36 states, six Geo-political zone and 774 local government. Each zone are blessed in one way or the other. In these article we are going to see the three richest Oil Producing states in South-South.

Akwa Ibom State: Akwa Ibom was created in 1983 by then head of state General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida,the capital of Akwa Ibom is Uyo. Akwa Ibom is made up 31 local government area making the state highest in number of local government in South-South.

According to Nigerian Bureau Of Statistics Akwa Ibom State produce 31.4%(503,000 BPD) of oil daily making the state highest oil Producing State not only in South-South but in Nigeria at large. Akwa Ibom people are peace loving people.

Delta State: Delta State is another rich state in South-South region. Delta State was created on 27 August 1991 by General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida.

The Capital of Delta State is Asaba. The state is made up of 25 local government area. According to Nigerian Bureau Of Statistics Delta State produce 21.56% (346,000 BPD) of Oil daily, making the state second richest Oil Producing State In South-South and in Nigeria. Rivers State: Rivers State also known as "Treasure Base Of The Nation" was created on 27 May 1967, under the administration of General Yakubu Gowon. The state is made of 23 local government. According to Nigerian Bureau Of Statistics Rivers State produce 21.43% (344,000 BPD) making the state third richest Oil Producing state in South-South.
