Amitabh Bachchan Drops A Hint On Whether He Will Be In Prabhas Starrer Kalki 2
~3.4 mins read
Kalki 2898 AD’s a film that revolutionised Indian cinema with its mythology, sci-fi world, futuristic visuals and over-the-top storyline. The film draws inspiration from Hindu scriptures and was the first film from the Kalki Cinematic Universe that has been planned. Vijayanthi Movies, the studio behind the brilliant film, shared a post on X, celebrating the epic success of the film on its anniversary and thanking the audience for its support. We started with a dream… and you turned it into an epic. Celebrating 1 YEAR of #Kalki2898AD❤️
Thank you to the audience. This journey is yours as much as ours🙏🏻#1YearForKalki2898AD #1YearForKalkiKARNAge@SrBachchan @ikamalhaasan #Prabhas @deepikapadukone @nagashwin7 @DishPatani pic.twitter.com/H1zZAmTOMX The post received a warm reception from fans in the replies, who congratulated the studio, appreciated the film and even asked for confirmation on Kalki 2 release. Amitabh Bacchan, who plays the role of Ashwatthama, celebrated the one year mark by quoting the tweet for Vijayanthi films and sharing a special message of appreciation for the film. my honoured privilege to be asked to be a part of it .. one that I admired and respected the blessings of Vijayanti films and the elders that ran and connected with it .. ever to be a part of it any day again , IF THEY WERE TO EVER TO ASK .. https://t.co/QkJWGqxYYk The way Amitabh sahab shows his gratitude even at the age of 82 and with countless blockbusters behind him, is a solid proof of what makes him one of the best actors in the history of Indian cinema. And yes, we can confirm that this is Big B’s way of saying that he would take part in Kalki 2 in a heartbeat, and we would love to see him step into the dystopian Kalki universe again. Fans were excited to see this, but they were not so excited to see that Big B had missed out on a major detail, or rather a tradition – of numbering the post.  Kalki 2898 AD was an immediate hit amongst the audiences, cashing in over ₹191 Crore on its opening day at the global box office, and throughout its lifetime – grossed over ₹1050 Crores, finishing #2 at the box office in 2024, and taking its place as the 7th  highest grossing Indian film of all time.  In what seemed to be a never-ending wave of half-baked sequels and remakes, Indian cinema was truly suffering from the lack of something ‘new’, especially in times where Hollywood and other film industries were releasing back to back bangers across all genres. Well, Kalki, a masterpiece from Telugu cinema, was the movie that broke this cycle of meh. It drew a lot of attention from every Indian, at first – solely because it was a break from all the cliche stories we’re used to seeing on the big screen, but later – because it is one of the best projects to come out of the nation. In every single department, whether it be cinematography, sets, costumes, VFX or even the cast, story and dialogues – Kalki nailed it, proving that yes, Indian cinema is capable of scaling its quality of storytelling to unimaginable heights.    Another huge reason behind the film’s success, was its brilliant cast – which featured Amitabh Bachchan in a crucial role, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, with Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani also being a part of the mix. As we all know, Kalki 2898 AD was only the start of the Kalki cinematic universe, and things will only get bigger and better moving forward. Though there’s no confirmed date as of now, Aswini Dutt did confirm a few months ago that the pre-production on Kalki 2 has already begun, and that he has full confidence in Nag Ashwin to deliver a film even bolder than Kalki 2898 AD.  We’re excited to see what Kalki 2 will be like, and so is all of India… heck, even global audiences are looking forward to it. But the big question of whether Amitabh ji will be getting the call to join the cast once again or not, remains to be answered. Either way, he’s already confirmed he’s ready to do it any day.

Shefali Jariwalas Heartbreaking Last Post
~3.2 mins read
The entertainment world is reeling from the shocking and sudden death of Shefali Jariwala, who shot to fame two decades ago as the unforgettable “Kaanta Laga” girl. Just 42, Shefali was a familiar face on television, known for her charm, bold personality, and reality show appearances. But it’s her last X (ex-Twitter) post that has now become the emotional highlight of her story, a touching ode to late boyfriend and close buddy Sidharth Shukla. Shefali’s last post, dated September 2, 2024, has gone viral following her passing. It was a cozy, near-filmy hug between her and Sidharth, taken during their days on Bigg Boss 13. What did the caption read? A simple one-line message, “Thinking of you today mere dost @sidharth_shukla ❤️.” The post was shared exactly three years after Sidharth’s own tragic death from a heart attack in 2021. Now, with Shefali’s own sudden demise, fans are calling it an eerie, emotional full circle, a goodbye wrapped in a memory. Shefali was allegedly found unconscious at her residence in Andheri, Mumbai, late Friday evening. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and some close friends, but it was too late, as she was pronounced dead upon arrival. While initial speculations suggest cardiac arrest, police have informed that the reason is unknown, and a postmortem is being conducted. What’s adding to the mystery even more? Her family confirmed she had no history of heart issues, although she had been undergoing treatment for skin issues. Police also discovered she had been suffering from epilepsy for almost 15 years, but as of yet, no direct link to her death has been established. Shefali and Sidharth’s relationship is way old, more than 15 years, actually. They were together long before Bigg Boss days, and even when they broke up romantically, the bond transformed into a beautiful friendship. Shefali once confessed, “We were both rational people. We discussed everything from space to bullet trains.” Their surprise reunion on Bigg Boss 13 provided fans with a close-up glimpse of that old magic. Their chemistry on screen was understated yet charged. Even though Sidharth’s affair with Shehnaaz Gill took over the news, the fans could not help but notice the warmth the two shared for each other. That’s what made her last post all the more poignant, it was not merely a throwback, it was a tender moment spent with someone who apparently never stopped being in her thoughts. Within seconds of the news being out, social media overflowed with condolences. Mika Singh, Rashami Desai, Aly Goni, and others posted emotional updates, most of them in shock. Footage of Parag Tyagi sobbing outside the hospital soon went viral, and fans took to mourning his loss deeply. For many, Shefali’s final post has become a kind of digital tombstone, a bittersweet farewell not just to Sidharth, but, unknowingly, to the world she was soon to leave behind. Shefali became a household name with her classic look and attitude in the 2002 music video “Kaanta Laga.” That single video made her a pop culture icon, fearless, stunning, and unapologetically unique. Her subsequent professional career had her acting in films, dance reality shows like Nach Baliye, and of course, her infamous Bigg Boss 13 stint, where she entered the lives of a new generation once again. Her fans loved her sass, her authenticity, and her not-playing-by-the-book spirit. She continued being in the limelight post the show, posting motivational content, throwbacks, and peeks into her life as a married woman with Parag on a regular basis. Shefali’s life is one read like a play, with its highs and lows, love and loss, and a drastic, tragic finale. Her last act, the recollection of a memory of her dead boyfriend Sidharth, has left the viewers crying and numb. Coincidence or is it something deeper? We may never know. What we do know is that Shefali left us with a life lesson of courage, companionship, and emotional depth. The postmortem findings may provide medical insight, but nothing will ever fully account for the eerie timing and emotional resonance of her last post. Ultimately, Shefali Jariwala was more than a Bigg Boss contestant or a music video heroine. She was a woman who lived with passion, loved truly, and passed away in a manner that seemed both poetic and tragic. Her last message remains not only on X, but in the minds of all who witnessed her dance, speak out, or simply recall a friend. “Thinking of you today mere dost.” has now turned into a line the world utters for her. And with that, the “Kaanta Laga” girl departed leaving a final spark, silent, lovely, and indelible.

Gone Too Soon: Stars Pay Tribute To The Premature Demise Of Shefali Jariwala
~2.8 mins read
The dazzling realm of show business tends to conceal the tenuous nature of existence and this week, the trade was left stunned into silence by the devastating report of Shefali Jariwala’s untimely death at 42. Most fondly remembered as the dynamite “Kaanta Laga” girl, Shefali was not so much a face on camera… she was a dynamic presence, a rebellious spirit, and a word that equaled strength and rebirth. Her unexpected passing on the night of June 27, 2025, has left her fans, friends, and colleagues grappling with disbelief. A beloved performer, a warm-hearted friend, and a true entertainer… Shefali’s absence is being felt deeply, and the outpouring of love across social media is proof of just how many lives she touched. A Wave of Shock and Sorrow When the news broke, tributes started pouring in from all corners of the industry. Her co-stars, friends, and other Bigg Boss contestants expressed their sorrow with the same raw disbelief that fans were experiencing. “I’m immensely shocked, saddened, and with a heavy heart… My beautiful star and closest friend Shefali Jariwala is no more. Still can’t believe it. You will always be remembered for your grace, smile, and spirit. Om Shanti.” Rashami Desai, who shared space with Shefali in Bigg Boss 13, was left speechless initially. Later, she wrote: “I’m still in shock at the news. You were such an amazing person… You’ll be terribly missed, too soon gone.” “Shocked and saddened… Life is so unpredictable. Rest in peace, Shefali.” “It’s unbelievable. We are shocked and sad for the family.” The emotions ranged from shock to helplessness, grief to prayer. And in between the lines of every message was a shared realization — that life is fleeting, and goodbyes often come unannounced. Bigg Boss Family Feels the Void Shefali’s time in the Bigg Boss house had made her part of an unlikely yet enduring family. Former housemates found themselves struggling to comprehend the news. “Kiski zindagi kitni likhi hai koi nahi janta. Om Shanti.” “Bigg Boss — that place is cursed, I think.” Her words, albeit unfiltered, expressed the sorrow of losing yet another friend from that common chapter. Tehseen Poonawalla, another contestant, posted a recollection from a recent meeting: “Shocked to hear that my friend Shefali Jariwala is no longer with us. I met her for the last time at a party. Life is so short… Sending love and healing to her family!” “Heavy heart. This is unthinkable. Gone too soon.” Fans Mourn the Icon Her supporters… those who looped “Kaanta Laga” on repeat, those who’d watched her rise to fame through reality TV shows, those who’d looked up to her courage… turned out in hordes. Her final Instagram post became a tribute wall. Comments such as “This cannot be real,” “You shone just yesterday,” and “Life is so unpredictable,” inundated her comment box. To most, it was not only a celebrity that they were losing… it was part of their memory lane, now darkened. More Than a Music Video Girl Shefali was beyond the girl in the silver blouse with the charged demeanor. She was one who constantly re-invented herself — from music videos to reality television, from glamour to grace. Her path was one of self-belief, strength, and quiet resilience. Her life is a reminder of how things on screen actually have stories we do not see — about courage, adversity, comebacks, and dreams. A Void That Won’t Be Filled While the industry, her loved ones, and her multitude of fans wait for an explanation of the reason for her premature death, there is one thing that is perfectly clear: Shefali Jariwala is no longer with us, but the fire she lit will never be extinguished. Rest in power, Shefali. Thank you for the joy, the dance, the poise — and the indelible mark. You may have departed the stage too soon, but the symphony of your legacy will continue to play.
