A Nigerian man, identified as Segun Ebenezer, has beaten his wife, Bukola, to death over a dispute arising from ownership of property.
 
Vanguard reported that the incident occurred due to her refusal to hand over a primary school she built in her name to her husband.
 
The Ogun State Police Command, while speaking about the incident, said that the suspect and the deceased had been quarreling over the property before he beat her to death.
 
According to a the statement, signed by Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police spokesman in Ogun, on Monday, said that the man had been arrested after he ran when a voice note that his wife sent to her relatives was played in his hearing.
