President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed optimism that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the 2023 election.

 

Buhari, who is currently in London, the United Kindom (UK), also give out reasons why he believes Tinubu will become victorious in the upcoming election, The Nation reported.

 

“What are the chances of my party winning the election? Tinubu, the presidential candidate, is a very well-known politician in the country.

We are going to (win) the elections.

 

“He (Tinubu) was a two-term governor in his state, Lagos; resource-wise, the most resourceful state and the most visited state in the country.

So, I think the party was lucky to get him to accept to be its candidate," Buhari said.
