There are six types of oil palm biomass, which can be produced to biomass pellets: oil palm fronds (OPF), oil palm trunks (OPT), empty fruit bunches (EFB), palm kernel shells (PKS), mesocarp fibre (MF) and oil palm mill effluent.
When it is to extract one ton palm oil, it has 6 tons of old leaves , 1 ton of trunk, 5 tons of empty fruit bunch , 1 ton of peel fiber, 0.5 tons of palm kernel shell,0.25 tons of pomace and 3 tons of palm oil mill effluent.
Indonesia is the biggest CPO (crud palm oil) producer in the world with an annual production of approximately 22 millions Tonnes, a plantation area of approximately 7 million hectares and more than 400 palm oil mills (POM). An additional 18 million hectares has been identified for palm plantation expansion.
Oil palm is the most important product from Malaysia that has helped to change the scenario of it’s agriculture and economy. Lignocellulosic biomass which is produced from the oil palm industries include oil palm trunks (OPT), oil palm fronds (OPF), empty fruit bunches (EFB) and palm pressed fibres (PPF), palm shells and palm oil mill effluent palm (POME). However, the presence of these oil palm wastes has created a major disposal problem. The fundamental principles of waste management are to minimise and recycle the waste, recover the energy and finally dispose the waste. These principals apply to agro-industrial wastes such as palm oil residues as they do to municipal waste. We can simply no longer afford to dispose the residues when there is an economically useful alternative. We must first consider the current uses and disposal of mill residues in order to address the potential for recovery of energy in the palm oil industry. One of the unique aspects of Malaysian renewable energy sources is that the palm oil mill is self-sufficient in energy, using PPF, EFB and shell as fuel to generate steam in waste-fuel boilers for processing, and power-generation with steam turbines.
Indonesia able produces smart biomass from solid waste of palm oil is 36 Millions tonnes per year. It can produce 6,541 MWatt electricity.
Biocatalyst fuel technology able to build 300 Biomass Power plant 7.5MWatt in Indonesia using solid waste of palm oil.USD12.5 Millions each.
Medium density fibre-boards and blackboards can be produced from EFB and palm fibre . Currently, the MDF industry has 14 plants with a total annual installed capacity of 2.9 million. The total export of MDF was RM1.2 billion in 2008. The industry has started utilising acacia mangium and mixed hardwood to produce MDF as alternatives to rubber wood. At present, Malaysia is the world’s third largest exporter of MDF, after Germany and France.
◆CHENZE EFB crusher is majored in crush EFB(Empty Fruit Bundle of oil palm), Palm fiber, Coconut shell and Coconut fiber. These raw material are usually from East-South Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India and Philippines, etc. Also, this is machine is very effective on crushing Corn straw, Wheat straw, Grass and so on.
◆This machine is assembled with more reasonable force feeder which is very helpful to control the fiber when cutting them. The space and angle between knife and counter is also designed excellently to cut the fiber to as small as possible. The minimum size of the final fiber made by this machine can reach to less than 10mm.Then it will be very easy to be processed much.
Oil palm fibre is non-hazardous biodegradable material extracted from empty fruit bunch that are considered as waste after the extraction oil palm fruits. The fibres are clean, non-carcinogenic, and free from pesticides and soft parenchyma cells. Palm fibres are versatile and stable and can be processed into various dimensional grades to suit specific applications such as erosion control, mattress cushion production, soil stabilization, horticulture and landscaping, ceramic and brick manufacturing, paper production, acoustics control, livestock care, compost, fertilizer and animal feed. Palm fibres can also be used as fillers in thermoplastics and thermoset composites which have wide applications in furniture and automobile components. Production of thermoplastic and thermostat composites has reached commercialization stage when PROTON (Malaysian national car maker) entered into agreement with PORIM (Palm Oil Research Institute of Malaysia)
CHENZE Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) long fiber product line can process EFB (Empty Fruit Bundle of oil palm) or Coconut shells to long fiber. We keep improving our technology and design of EFB Long Fiber Making Machine to maximize the fiber length and quality.

Which Companies Are Winning And Losing As Inflation Reignites?
~3.2 mins read
Despite falling last year, inflation has proved persistent in 2024, and some consumers are having to carefully choose where to put their dollars.
Those decisions are beginning to show up as pressure in some companies' financial results for the year’s first quarter, while it has been a boon to others.
One segment feeling a negative impact is restaurants and food delivery services, which are now trying to draw in customers with tighter budgets. At the same time, some consumer goods makers showed they were able to weather the inflation headwinds as people demonstrated that they are still buying their favorite brands.
Famous for its affordability, McDonald’s (MCD) posted slowing comparable or same-store sales in the first quarter, showing that consumers may be starting to buckle under what company executives called a “pressured consumer spending environment.”
“I think consumers are obviously dealing with a lot in the current macro context. Obviously, they’re getting hit across their full basket of goods and services by all the inflationary impacts,” said McDonald’s CFO Ian Borden on the company’s earnings call.
While the fast-food chain still posted a 9% year-over-year increase in earnings per share, CEO Chris Kempczinski said the company was conscious of the pressure on its customers, and would be focusing more on advertising to promote its “value message.”
Same-store sales for Starbucks (SBUX) fell 4% in its first quarter, with the coffee chain saying loyal customers were still flocking to their locations, but higher prices made it harder to draw the occasional customer.
“You look at the underlying headwinds, particularly around the pressures that consumers face particularly with the occasional customer, what we're seeing is that's where the challenge is. It's a challenge with their traffic and it's a challenge with them coming into our stores,” Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan said on a company's earnings call.
High prices aren’t just keeping some customers from going out, they’re also impacting whether they order in. Food delivery service DoorDash (DASH) reported a bigger-than-anticipated loss in the first quarter as demand for restaurant delivery slowed. However, the delivery app was able to generate more sales in the quarter, in part by expanding its service to include must-haves through grocery and retail deliveries.
While higher prices discouraged some consumers from eating out or ordering delivery from restaurants, it didn’t stop them from buying some of their favorite items at the store.
The Coca-Cola Company (KO) demonstrated this when it posted a revenue boost after increasing its prices, with the company also raising its revenue forecast this year due to “higher than expected inflationary pricing.”
“The U.S. consumer remains in good shape,” said Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey during the company’s earnings call.
Coca-Cola executives said they see signs consumers are changing their buying patterns due to higher prices, moving to more purchasing for in-home consumption of its beverages.
“There is some purchasing power compression in the lower income echelons. And I think it’s quite clear that there’s some behavioral shift there looking for value,” Quincey said.
Consumers also had a hard time turning away from chocolate, despite a volatile cocoa market that led Hershey (HSY) to push prices up by more than 5% in the first quarter from a year ago to pull in almost 9% more revenue. Hershey CEO Michele Buck said the chocolate maker was off to a “strong start” this year as the company maintained its projection that it would grow sales by 2% to 3% this year.
Another company that continued to make sales despite higher prices was Procter & Gamble (PG), as the maker of Tide, Dawn, and Pampers reported that it raised its prices even more than analysts expected, and still saw noteworthy sales growth.
