The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on Wednesday, said the government discovered an apartment under the Dolphin Estate Bridge, Ikoyi, where tenants pay N250,000 annual rent.

Wahab shared this information via a post on X.com on Wednesday, along with videos.

He added that the enforcement team of Lagos State’s Ministry of Environment and Water Resources had successfully removed all structures, including a container utilised for various illegal activities, from beneath the Dolphin Estate Bridge.

Naira Ab¥se: Socialite Cubana ChiefPriest And EFCC To Settle Out Of Court

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, have agreed to settle the naira ab¥se charge outside of court.

TheNation reports that the out-of-court settlement was disclosed when the proceedings resumed on Thursday morning, May 2.

Recall that EFCC had on April 16 filed a three-count charge against Okechukwu over alleged naira ab¥se.

He was arraigned the following day at the federal high court in Lagos and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The judge, thereafter granted him bail in the sum of N10 million with two responsible sureties in like sum.

Two ABCOAD Students Di£ As Boat Capsizes In Kano

Two students of Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Dambatta (ABCOAD), lost their lives when the boat they boarded capsized in the middle of Thomas Dam in Makoda LGA of Kano State on Tuesday morning, April 30.

The deceased students have been identified as Abubakar Sanusi and Ado Salisu, while a third student, named Abubakar Salisu, was rescued and rushed to the hospital.

Information officer of Makoda LGA Sani Muhammadu said the incident occurred when the students were returning to the college, DailyTrust reports.

According to him, driver of the canoe, one Hassan Haruna, survived the mishap.

A resident of Danbatta Abba Muhammad corroborated the accounts of the information officer, adding that the rescued student was responding to treatment at Danbatta General Hospital.
