Manchester United star Paul Pogba has backed former teammate at Old Trafford Zlatan Ibrahimovic claiming that the Swede is not a racist following the clash he had with Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku almost boxed themselves in the Milan derby with these two players raining all sort of insults on the field of play.

They were being pulled apart and booked with ZlatanIbrahimovic later being sent off for a second yellow card in a separate incident.

Ibrahimovic was reported to have told Romelu Lukaku on the pitch to go and do his voodoo which infuriated the Belgium international.

Lukaku was so angry on the pitch with what his former teammates at Old Trafford said to him during the encounter which was won by Inter Milan.

Such statement has been interpreted as a racial slur, but Paul Pogba has come to the defense of Zlatan Ibrahimovic claiming the striker is not a racist.

Ibrahimovic who played alongside Pogba during his 18 months at United also denied saying any racial based connotations with his words to Lukaku.

With the defeat against Inter, AC Milan are still topping the Serie A table while Antonio Conte and his men are occupying second position on the standings.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku emerged as a top transfer target for Premier League giants this summer.
