Many of the powerful Psalms are prayers that were written by King David, who is buried on Mount Zion, which is just above the Wailing Wall. Many of them are songs of thanksgiving and then the others are prayers. These Psalms are said to be very powerful that they can open up various channels for blessings that may come to you. Each Psalm power has its own strength and are appropriate for different prayers.
