Senator Rochas Okorocha, a former governor of Imo state, has said that Governor Hope Uzodinma is destroying the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Punch reports that he said that he boycotted the APC southeast zonal stakeholders meeting which held in the Imo state Government House in Owerri because Uzodinma was indulging in "political jamboree."

Legit.ng gathered that the senator who spoke through his media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, on Thursday, December 31, said that Uzodinma was demarketing the party in the state.

At the appropriate time, we will separate truth from falsehood. That meeting was a political jamboree."
He said Governor Uzodinma inherited a sound APC in Imo state, lamenting that the party is no longer breathing in the state.

Onwuemeodo added:

"The truth of the matter is that APC only exists in government house in Imo state."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the former governor Okorocha said the race to occupy the governorship seat in Imo state in 2023 has not yet started.

It was reported that the senator disclosed this following what he described as a false claim from mischief-makers.

He noted that some people had alleged that he has commenced campaigning for his son-in-law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, for the 2023 Imo governorship seat.
