Novak Djokovic has tested positive for Corona virus.

The world number one tennis player becomes the latest player to test positive, days after Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki all confirmed they had the  virus after taking part at Djokovic's Adria Tour competition.

The 33 year old Serbian played compatriot Viktor Troicki in the first event in Belgrade.

Novak Djokovic's brother Djordje, who is a director of the tournament confirmed that the remaining Aria Tour events in Sarajevo and Banja Luka have been cancelled.

"Unfortunately, due to all the events that happened in the last few days, we have decided that the most important thing right now is to stabilise the epidemiological situation, as well as for everyone to recover," Djordje Djokovic said.

British tennis star, Andy Murray believes the positive tests were a "lesson for us", while Australian player, Nick Kyrgios called it a "bone-headed decision".

"Immediately upon his arrival in Belgrade [after the second event] Novak was tested along with all members of the family and the team with whom he was in Belgrade and Zadar.

He is not showing any symptoms." A statement on Djokovic's website read.

There were pictures on social media of the tournament from Friday showing Dimitrov playing basketball with Djokovic, Alexander Zverev and Marin Cilic.

Players were also seen not observing social distancing rules as they were seen embracing each other before and at the end of their matches, while also dancing close to one another in a night club in Belgrade.

The ATP have not hosted any events since February because of the Corona virus pandemic.
