Celebrating after scoring is a common thing in football. Footballers have different ways of showing their joy for scoring ranging from sliding to showing acrobatic skills and even dancing in some awkward manner. However, some players seem to have different celebration techniques for different occasions to convey a specific message to the spectators or their fellow footballers. Today, we want to discover the stories behind Ronaldo celebrating styles.
The Siiii
The most iconic celebration of CR7 is ‘Siii’. He did it for the first time against Chelsea in 2013 ICC. It symbolises his power and his presence on the field. He does it also to remind the football world that he is the best.
Shut up haters
Ronaldo uses this celebration to send messages to his haters, telling them to stop criticism and love him for who he is.
El Comandante
He used this celebration as a dedication to former FIFA president Joseph Sepp Blatter who called him Commander.
Say my name
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner used this celebration to answer Messi who had done it some days earlier. He wanted to remind the world who is the best.
Calma
This is another celebration he uses to silence critics. He also uses it when his team is scoring from behind.
Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams has revealed how the South West can separate from Nigeria without bloodshed.
The Yoruba leader said that it was possible for Oduduwa Republic to be actualized without war.
Adams said for Nigeria to remain as a unit, President Muhammadu Buhari must not ignore renewed calls for restructuring.
He noted that the call for Oduduwa Republic became necessary as the Nigerian state was failing.
“Our people in diaspora see a lot of things that we that are in the country don’t see, and these are people that are highly exposed and know whatever is happening in the global community, and this is why they are asking for a separate nation, and I also agree with them,†he was quoted by the Sun at the weekend.
“We can have our Oduduwa Republic in a peaceful way through a referendum. Nigerians from the different zones will cast their votes and decide whether they want Nigeria to remain as one or not .
I agree with the Secretary of the Arewa Consultative Forum who said recently that we could break up Nigeria without war,†he added.
He lamented that the country cannot move forward with the way it was going, noting that injustice, nepotism and corruption were on the increase.
He alleged that 85% was given to the North at the recent recruitment in DSS while less than 15 per cent was allocated to the South.

The Kwara State polytechnic management has announced October 12, as the resumption date for students of the institution.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution in Ilorin, Ajibola S. Jimoh, said necessary Covid-19 safety measures have been put in place to ensure safe resumption of academic activities on the two main campuses of the polytechnic.
According to him
“The polytechnic committee on Covid-19, embarked on a week long sensitization programme for the staff between Monday 5th, and Friday October 9th, 2020, while arrangements have been completed to hold same for students after resumption.
“Necessary rules and penalties for violation have been made to ensure that both staff and students comply with the Covid-19 rules and regulations as adopted by the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
“To this end, hand shaking, hugging and non-wearing of face masks have been prohibited on the two campuses.
“Any erring staff or student, would be penalised in line with the regulations set out by the polytechnic’s committee on Covid-19,†the statement added.
The spokesman said the institution had provided many pedal-hand washing machines on the two campuses for both staff and students, while pocket size hand sanitizers would also be made available at affordable prices to mitigate the community spread of the virus when the institution resumes.
He said more lecture chairs and desks have been procured to ensure safe physical and social distance by students.
We reports that the institution was shut on March 24, 2020, following the outbreak of the virus in the country.
Popular Human rights activist, Segun Awosanya, on Saturday, said the anti-Special Robbery Squad, SARS, protest won’t stop.
Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, said the protest won’t stop because the government is not listening to the outcry against SARS.
Featuring on Channels Television’s programme, Sunrise Daily, Awosanya explained that the anti-SARS protest was a call to end impunity.
According to Awosanya:
“The protests will continue to go on because the authorities are not listening to the people, if they listen enough all the things we are seeing today we told them before now but they are not listening.
“We told the authorities that it will get to this point if they continue to be insensitive to the cry of the people and what are they asking for? they are saying shut down impunity.
“ENDSARS simply means end impunity, the culture of impunity where people get away with crime.
“If an armed robber commits crime with a gun, we know what the penalties are but what about a police officer who is maintained by taxpayers money and use the state’s gun to rob innocent citizens and he gets to be transferred and we keep seeing him.
“If you call a unit within the police system, special tactical squad, special anti-robbery squad or special anti-robbery squad and they are no longer special, they are all over the place collecting bribes, seizing people, indiscriminately killing people, how do you want people to feel towards that?â€

Today is the long awaited Ondo guber polls. It hasn’t witnessed as much buzz and razzmatazz as the Edo polls.
My prediction for Edo polls went awry so I am reluctant to jump into another prediction APC and PDP remain the strongest Parties/favourite to win. The other parties can also win based on the unpredictable nature of Ondo voters.
Before I open the floor for comments, let me briefly outline the chances of the three major candidates.
APC:
APC will likely clear Ondo north senatorial zone which has six lgas, win one LGA in Ondo central which will be one of Ifedore or Idanre because of small alhaji and win at least one LGA in Ondo south which is Ilaje and maybe Odigbo..
PDP:
The PDP should take Akure south and north, one of Ifedore or Idanre or both and get good votes in Ondo town. Apart from Ose LGA, I don’t see them getting much in Ondo North. In Ondo south, Jegede should win Irele and get good votes in the remaining 5 lgas.they may end up winning Okitipupa also
ZIP:
Ajayi should win his ESE Odo LGA, Ile-Oluji and maybe Okitipupa with good votes in the other lgas.he will take Ondo town and perhaps Ifedore, where his running mate is from, he may not get much up Ondo north.
Who Do You Think Will Win Ondo Governorship Election Today?
