Who Has Been The Strangest Athlete In History?
~1.3 mins read
The strangest athlete in history, in my humble opinion, is one Mr. Dennis Keith Rodman.

* Rodman has been known for wearing all kinds of "interesting" outfits, but this one stands out in my mind for some reason.

This man is batshit crazy strange, and extraordinarily complicated, but he is also extremely talented. He's a tough nut to crack. Is he just being himself, or is this some attention-getting gimmick? I think it's a little of both.

He reportedly had a troubled childhood and was painfully shy as a child. He supposedly has tons of siblings. He has reported himself to be the oldest of 47 children. Yep, strange.

Rodman was a self-proclaimed "momma's boy" and says he felt the overwhelming female presence when growing up with his mom and two athletically talented sisters Debra and Kim, who both went to become All-American basketball players.

As a freshman in high school, he was only 5′ 6″ (1.6m) and was benched for the whole season on the basketball team. He found it humiliating because his sisters were so good, and by his own admission, he was "unable to hit a layup."

Rodman grew to be 5′11″ (1.8m) by the time he graduated from high school, and after graduation, he worked as an overnight janitor at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

After an unexpected growth spurt, he stood 6′7″ (2.0m) tall. This made him even more self-conscious and uncomfortable with his body.

Fast forward to 1993 when Rodman was sitting alone in his car with a loaded gun in his lap while listening to Pearl Jam. At that time, he said he truly contemplated suicide, and that is had nothing to do with basketball and everything to do with feeling unloved. After that, he decided to be a "bad boy."

Is It Still Healthy To Do Intermittent Fasting Every Day, Like Just Eating Once A Day?
~0.7 mins read
The main benefits of Intermittent Fasting:

->Burning fat - After depleting your glycogen, you start to burn FAT instead of carbohydrates. Intermittent fasting helps you hop onto the fat burning train way faster than traditional dieting. In essence, you begin to use the energy your body preserved (fat).

Reduced hunger. Your hunger is reduced during your non-eating windows. Your body gets used to your eating schedule pretty quickly. After a week or two of intermittent fasting, you stop being hungry all the time. Even better results if you avoid the carb-rich foods, which cause an insulin spike. An insulin spike, in turn, crashes your blood sugar, and then guess what - you feel hungry again.

->Insulin sensitivity. It has been shown that intermittent fasting (IF) in humans increases whole-body insulin sensitivity. Which means that you release less insulin after eating, again resulting in less hunger and even less risk for diabetes.
