A LETTER TO MY DEAREST DAUGHTER
~2.2 mins read
A LETTER TO MY DEAREST DAUGHTER
My dear girl, I wish I could tell you to protect your body in diginity and to let you know nudity doesn't make you pretty.
Like the adage goes, "Too many cooks spoil the brot" Your body is like a fresh apple and too many hands make it ugly. That you are beautiful doesn't mean you should offer your body for sale and your pearl is meant for just one man..Your husband
I wished to tell you not every man you should allow crawl into your body, but I'm sorry if I'm actually telling you this late! My baby, your worth is priceless.
Be careful of the friendship and relationship whose intentions are cryptic and cunning., so you don't get carried in clouds all-around. You are more precious for just one night stand and a man who loves you just because of your skin colour doesn't understand what true love is!
As a responsibility, I will teach you how to stand firm, and not stoop low! So you don't have awful stories to tell. Don't let the foxes outhere have you for meal nor gnaw on you, beacuse they will deny knowing you when the awful deed is done. Since love comes with responsibility.
Don't allow any man put you in the family way when you aren't ready!
For the men out there, remember that every girl you see also belongs to a family and don't mess with her future. She might as well be somene's wife. So before you disregard or disrespect a woman remember someday you will be a father having a daughter too!
Son, real men don't rape women.
A man who rapes should have his DNA 'cleaned' like dust.
And back to you my daughter, don't get comfortable with a men who disrespects you and don't disrespect your self before any man.
Your nudity doesn't make you beautiful, for where lies the beauty of a flower without its petals??
Control yourself ìn every thing. Control your tongue so you give birth to peace and don't you ever gossip about your neighbors and let your feet not be quick to your neighbor's house.
Much wisdom embedded in 1st Corinthians 13-4_8 of the holy scripture. You must have to learn the verses by heart.
Give your heart to God before any man. Learn to be strong and handle your emotions and never give your heart out to a man out of pity.
It's okay to be in a relationship but I will teach her how to love like an angel with wisdom.
Work on yourself with knowledge and wisdom so you don't become a bad mother to your children. Don't approve any man's proposal when you are not ready because emotions are never stable.
It's okay to grow but don't grow too fast when you are still a child!
Your body is like a circle, too many hands that touches you makes it difficult for you to find an angle.
It's okay to mingle but don't tangle.
Your Loving Mother.

GETTING THE DESIRED CHANGE
~2.3 mins read

The principal reason why Nigeria will still remain the way it is, is because we are so impregnated with lots of negative thouģhts and values. We have prided ourselves on negativities that have robbed us of our deserved places in the society. Sheer greediness has also become a cankerworm that have eaten deep into our fabrics.
Indeed, we need to change our mindset for change to come..
Ages past, I know we had good and great leaders but the followers weren't ready for change.
The kind of change we are all looking for will surely take time because we love the cycle in which we've been thrown into and any nation that keeps complaining without exercising the need for change will not, by any chance progress.
For a quick check on any progress of a nation, check its educational system and its citizens' hunger for knowledge.
For us to grow, we need to try something different! We want change but when change comes we don't want to acknowledge it..
Social media ranting about politics is not patriotism, do your job well and I work on mine, hence our country will become enviable in the sight of other nations across the world and will be great.
Our usual blame game about our problems, especially on the serving government chiefs and commanders is really overstressed. lnstead, let us make a good start from each every home. Let us first work on our attitudinal changes and take responsibilities
Push yourself to learning. Start from your own community, build your own tribe. Learn to contribute for free, add towards your community.
True change won't come on a platter of gold, but we will experience such when we begin to tailor off those bad strands of ours.
Without the right attitude with the right mindset, good orientation and proper education cum knowledge, the circle continues.
Let the change start with you, yes You!
Our value system is going to determine how far we go as a Nation, no gainsaying.
Interestingly, to them, politics is a local game which requires tricky baits and that's the simple reason why they gain the attention of the ordinary men and local men like the type in Africa where it is so easy to turn us against one another and set boundaries among us.
A society impoverished with hatred, devoid of knowledge and where ignorance is epidemic like ours results in the dignity and sense of humanity eroded.
Let's forget the social media ranting.
For me, real politics isn't played on those platforms. Real politics happens out there! Real politics are played on the streets. Real politics are felt by its citizenry.
We are brother and sisters of a Nation. Let us come together and uphold that which our heroes past have labored for. Let us all eschew tribal sentiments and work together to achieve our common goals.
Stand for something, stand for a Cause, stand for a Change.
Support friends who are also doing great.
Let our collective greatness be our greatest priority as a Nation. Then, only then shall we experience what a true change is.
