The brain is a very delicate and vital organ of the body. Because of the essence of it's functionality, very high health routine demands are placed on it.

The brain is responsible for very important life functions such as breathing, thinking, learning and the regulation of heart functions and every other activities in the body; including your sense organs.

The brain requires glucose and sometimes ketone bodies for it's functionality, and although it is shielded from the bloodstream by the blood-brain barrier, it is still highly susceptible to a lot of disease which can be abated with the right kinds of diets. The adage which says "you are what you eat", to a great extent reflect certain truths - especially when it concerns your brain's health.


 
Eating the right kinds of food helps you feel well, especially as it regards your brain functions but on the contrary, the other side of the coin is the reality when you eat wrong foods, and they can negatively impact your cognitive abilities and even increase your risk of developing dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other diseases that can affect your memory.

The following are foods which you should try to avoid for the functioning healthy and processing of your brain.



1. Alcohol
When consumed in moderation, alcohol can be an enjoyable addition to a nice meal. However, excessive consumption can have serious effects on the brain's performance. Chronic (excessive) alcohol use reduces the brain volume, causes metabolic(breaking and building process) changes and disruption of neurotransmitters, which are chemicals the brain uses to communicate.

People with alcoholism often have a deficiency in vitamin B1. This can lead to a brain disorder called Wernicke’s encephalopathy, which in turn can develop into Korsakoff’s syndrome. Many who are not chronic drinkers, but drink excessively at a go can also be affected by - great insensitivity to other people's emotions - through gross misinterpretations of their emotions such as be insensitive to a person's sad look and more sensitive to an angry face; which may lead to alcohol-induced aggression.

Alcohol consumption by pregnant women should highly be discouraged due to damage to the brain of unborn baby because the brain is still developing. Brain problem such as fetal alcohol syndrome could arise.



2. Fish which contains high amounts of Mercury.

Mercury is a metallic poison to the brain, which can spread beyond the brain to even the liver and kidney. For pregnant women, it gets stored in the placenta and also inside the unborn baby. These metal is usually stored in the flesh of certain animals we consume - most especially seafoods. Fishes which eat other fishes and sea creatures, can store a great amount of this metallic poison; even way more than the amounts present in the sea.

Examples of such fishes you should avoid are: shark, swordfish, tuna, orange roughy, king mackerel and tilefish. These fishes should be mostly avoided by children and pregnant women.

This sugar is found in sugar free-foods - with the tags " zero sugar". People often choose to use it these beverages when trying to lose weight or avoid sugar when they have diabetes. It is also found in many commercial products not specifically targeted at people with diabetes.

Aspartame is made of substances such as Aspartame is made of phenylalanine, methanol and aspartic acid. Phenylalanine is a substance which can cross the blood-brain barrier and might disrupt the production of neurotransmitters. Additionally, aspartame is a chemical stressor and may increase the brain’s vulnerability to oxidative stress. The advice for those who love such products would be to take limited amounts of this products.

Hydrogenated vegetable oil(industrial) are food substances which contain a type of unhealthy fat called trans fat. These fats affect the brain indirectly. They include fats which are found in animal products like meat and dairy, though these naturally occurring ones aren't a major concern, It’s the industrially produced trans fats, that are a problem.

These artificial trans fats can be found in shortening, margarine, frosting, snack foods, ready-made cakes and prepackaged cookies.

Researches have established that when people take such fats in high quantities, it increases their risk of Alzheimer’s disease, poorer memory, lower brain volume and cognitive decline. Limits therefore should be placed on the quantities of these fats for consumption.

Anyone that desires financial freedom can attain it only if he is willing to do the needful.

Looking for quick ways to be rich may elongate the process.

Becoming rich is not a matter of luck but knowing how it works.

You will agree with me that Wealth doesn't depend on these things;

1. Country : There are poor men in the richest countries and also, there are rich men in poor countries.

2. Family background: There are countless examples of wealthy people who came from poor homes.


 
3. Being a graduate or not: We have graduates struggling and dropouts that are miserable.

The only sure way to wealth is education on wealth.

When some persons hear the word "education" they will point at many graduates or PhD holders that are struggling.

Though going to school is good but it doesn't guarantee success.

Bill Gates is a drop-out. Dangote is a graduate. However, both men are wealthy.

I once gave a brother that was struggling financially two books but he rejected them saying all he needed was money not books.

The problem is, if you don't know how money works it will be used foolishly when it comes.

Money is like women. It has to be attracted not pursued.

If you want to be wealthy read books on wealth not on how to be an employee. Watch videos on doing businesses. Attend seminars on what you will like to do.

The better you become the more chances you have in meeting with success.

You have to learn before you can earn.
