WHEN COMMON SENSE IS NOT COMMON!!! In my own opinion, the enemy of Ndi Igbo is Ndi Igbo itself. I remember a time in this Country when all the six Ministers in Jonathan's kitchen Cabinet were all Igbos. Ayim Pius Ayim was Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala was in charge Finance, Emeka Wogu was in Labour and Productivity, Berth Nnaji was in Power and Energy.

Dieziani Madueke was the powerful Minister for Oil.

The six of them outside the Federal Executive Council would meet and decide what and what not to be discussed at the larger FEC.

Whatever they decided would eventually be the position of Government.

In six years, this was the situation.

Okiro and Onovo had the Police under their control.

Ihejerika and later Minimah controlled the Army.

These powerful Igbos could do and undo.

Nigeria was in their pockets.

Rather than care about the poor Igbo chaps scattered all over the Country, they were busy diverting Billions of Naira into their accounts at home and abroad.

The Second Niger Bridge, they didn't do. They shared the money.

The Lagos/Calabar rail lines passing through nine States, three of them in the South East, they were not bothered.

They refused to pay the Chinese the Counter part fund. They shared the money.

Enugu/Onitsha, Aba/PH and other roads of economic importance to their fellow Igbos, they abandoned them.

*Who is to blame ?*

*Who is marginalising the Igbos ?*

*** *You had your chance, you bungled it.* ***

There was only one Yoruba Minister worth mentioning at the time, Akinwunmi Adesina. He was in Agriculture. *His budget was less than 1% while Emeka Wogu in Labour had over 10% for his Ministry.*

Ayim had unlimited access to the treasury for the benefit of himself and Family members.

The poor Igbo guys meant nothing to him.

*If an Igbo becomes President tomorrow after Buhari, will there be any difference ?*

RELEASE OF THE 2021 STATUTORY EXAMINATION TIMETABLE

  

The Honourable Commissioner of Education, Mrs Idongesit I. Etiebet has approved the release of the 2021 Examination timetable for the statutory examinations to be conducted by the State Ministry of Education.

Accordingly, the examination shall commence on the 29th of June 2021 with the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), while placement Examination into Junior Secondary Schools holds on Saturday 17th July 2021.

  Entrance into Senior Science Colleges takes place Saturday, 10th July 2021, while Entrance examination into Government Model Girls Secondary school, Ikot Ekang Abak holds on Saturday 24th July 2021.

  Senior Secondary Two Promotion Examination holds from Monday 12th July 2021 and ends on Thursday, 22nd July 2021.

To this end, Principals, Head Teachers and Proprietors of schools are to take note and ensure strict compliance.

*WAKE UP PARENTS*

 

Years back, *poor illiterate  parents* produced 

🔹Doctors, 

🔹Engineers,

🔹 Scientists,

🔹 Accountants,

🔹 Lawyers,

🔹 Architects,

🔹 Professors..,  whom I will refer to as *Group 'A'*. 

These *Group 'A'* Children struggled on their own after Primary 6 or Secondary schools, to become notable personalities. Most of them 

👉🏾trekked to school *barefooted*

👉🏾went to farms

👉🏾fetched water and firewood

👉🏾cared for domesticated animals

👉🏾did some work including trading after school to survive.

👉🏽acquired handcraft skills such as basket weaving, broom making etc and use the money realised to support their personal upkeep. 

Now Group 'A' ,who have now become Parents themselves are *producing  Group 'B'  Children*

These group B children are 

🔹pampered

🔹 helped in their homeworks or home assignments from nursery school through secondary schools to higher institutions.

 ðŸ”¹chauffeur driven to very expensive schools or sent abroad to study.  

🔹they can watch movies from morning till dawn after school.

🔹use expensive mobile phones. 

🔹Spend hours chatting on social media. 

🔹 they are treated like baby kings and queens.

🔹they don't do any household chores. 

🔹Food is put on the table for them, 

🔹their plates are removed and washed by parents or house maids. 

🔹They are given expensive cars and clothes, 

🔹not forgetting *big pocket money to be wasted* !!!.

🔹Their parents help them in doing their assignments.

🔹some parents look for "special centres" for their  children to re-register for the SSSE or NECO that they failed in previous attempts to enhance their chances through exam malpractices😳

🔹In spite of all these, only few can *speak* or *write* correctly. 😏

🤔Group 'A' Parents  cared for their own *parents* and *children*, Group 'B',their Children are still *struggling to find their feet at age 30+*.‼️ 

🤔They find it difficult to do things on their own because they are used to being helped to think and doing things by Group 'A'. So they can't help themselves, their parents or the society. THEY ABANDON THEIR PARENTS IN THEIR BID TO ACQUIRE THE WORLD

😴 *Where do you belong*❓

🏮Reduce the pampering and the unnecessary help you offer your children.

🏮 Let your children *grow in wisdom, intelligence and strength*. 

🏮Let them face the truth and the realities of life. Teach them to grow  to become *independent adults.* Teach them to 

👉🏾fear God, 

👉🏾respect  others and

👉🏾develop confidence in themselves. 

🤔Parents, discipline your children to become disciplined adults, *useful* and not *useless.*
