Dem call di goment to open school or face dia anger, but di minister for di daily covid 19 briefing say e get high hope say school go soon resume but no exact date yet.

Wetin be di latest?

Oga Nwajiuba say dem don review responses from about 78 universities most of dem private universities and dem say dem don ready to open.

For state owned universities, e explain say na 50 percent of dem dey ready and di ministry dey do everytin possible to make sure everybody dey the same page ahead of school resumption.

Di minister of state also yan give say coronavirus still dey and most of di institution neva establish di necessary protective protocol in place.

Before now, di ministry bin don release di latest guidelines wey school must follow before dem reopen for di kontri.

Na since March authorities close down all schools for di kontri sake of di coronavirus pandemic.

Di latest guidelines wey di Federal Ministry of of Education release come as di Nigerian goment release date for resumption of international flight, open churches and mosque across di kontri as dem ease down some of di lockdown restriction.

Guidelines for schools wen dem reopen

  • Training of teachers and oda personnel on safety and hygiene measures.
  • Dem must establish Covid-19 referral system
  • Dem must make sure say ambulance dey available and dem must get access to testing/isolation/ treatment centres including NCDC helpline and state goment facilities dem
  • Dem must make sure say dem get water, sensitization and Hygiene (WASH0 for inside di school premises
  • Dem must reduce di number of pipo for dia classroom, hostels worship centres and oda space dem
  • Encourage pipo to use open space for gathering and promote outdoor activities

    The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Abubakar Adamu, has banned the personnel of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS).

    The police force in a statement signed by PPRO, Frank Mba demanded that all stop and search duties and patrols by SARS be terminated with immediate effect.
    This is following the nationwide outcry by Nigerians over the harassment and killing of youths by SARS.
    The IGP also warned against invasion of privacy of citizens, an unauthorized search of phones and laptops.
