Manager Jurgen Klopp Says Liverpool Are A "different Club" To Some Rivals In The Transfer Window
~4.1 mins read
Manager Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool are a "different club" to some rivals in the transfer window as they are "not owned by countries or oligarchs".

The Premier League champions have only signed Kostas Tsimikas for £11.7m, while Chelsea have spent about £200m.

Klopp says "uncertainty" created by Covid-19 is "less important" for some.

He said the Reds have had success "by being the club we are", adding: "We cannot change that overnight and say 'now we want to behave like Chelsea'."

Klopp told BBC Radio 5 Live: "Clubs are in different situations and we are living in uncertainty in the world.

"For some clubs it seems to be less important how uncertain the future is because they are owned by countries, owned by oligarchs, and that is the truth.

"We are a different kind of club. We reached the Champions League final two years ago, won it the following year and won the Premier League by being the club we are."

Liverpool spent £1.3m on young Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle last summer, as well as signing goalkeepers Adrian and Andy Lonergan on free transfers, before adding Red Bull Salzburg's Japan forward Takumi Minamino for £7.25m in January.

Klopp's side finished 18 points clear of Manchester City as they won their first league title in 30 years, with Chelsea 33 points behind in fourth.

Chelsea were unable to make any signings last summer because of a Fifa transfer ban, but it was halved on appeal in December 2019 to allow them to bring in players from January this year.

Frank Lampard's side have signed Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech for £33.3m, RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner for about £48m, Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz for £71m, Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell for £45m and also brought in Paris St-Germain centre-back Thiago Silva on a free transfer.

Last season's runners-up Manchester City have signed Bournemouth centre-back Nathan Ake for £40m and Valencia winger Fernan Torres for £21m - but have sold Germany winger Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich for about £45m.

Klopp pointed to the post-lockdown form of midfielders Naby Keita and Curtis Jones and the fact Minamino "looks completely different" after settling in since January as reasons Liverpool do not need to make numerous signings this summer.

The German also says he is focused on improving the players in his squad rather than bringing new ones in.

He added: "We always want to improve the squad but there are different uh ways - one way is to sign new players and the other way is to work together, improve the things you were good in and try to nullify the things you are not good in.

"That is football. No-one wants to talk about training and only about signings."

Sex Talk
~1.0 mins read
 EXPERIENCE.
I hate when men try to act like they understand a woman's body and end up being wrong at it. Simply because of their short comings during sex.
Women cum during sex,  It is thick and whitish in color and when you let a woman cum in that manner, you're a hero.

A lady can squirt and cum. But they're two different things.
Squirt is the outmost feeling and it's almost like urine, cum is when she experience orgasm which is different from squirt- cum that's where the whitish thick liquid comes in.
vagina lube : That's not cum! That's when she's just wet and when the battle is about to begin. She needs you inside to make her come thanks

Lawmakers Seek Open Debate On Contentious National Issues

Lawmakers Seek Open Debate On Contentious National Issues
As it resumes from a two-month end of session recess on Tuesday, September 15, the Senate is under immense pressure to demonstrate its parliamentary role of representation, particularly on critical issues that pitch the Federal Government against the people.
Agitations against the contentious Water Resources Bill, Hate Speech Bill, CAMA law, among others, as well as the recent hike in the price of petrol at a time electricity tariff was increased by over 300 per cent, have called the representational role of lawmakers in the National Assembly to question.

In parliamentary parlance, it is settled that in fulfilling the functions of lawmaking and oversight, parliamentarians must at all times represent those that elected them in principles and in deeds. And many believe that for a parliament to maintain legitimacy, it is critical that accountability to voters should take place systematically throughout the parliamentary term, rather than just at election time.

The Ahmad Lawan leadership, it was learned, is at the moment being put on the edge to allow a full debate on some critical national issues with a view to determining their acceptability by Nigerians.

A survey across several political and geographic caucuses in the Senate showed that the recent hike in the price of petrol and increase of electricity tariff, the controversial Water Resources Bill, as well as the much-criticised Hate Speech Bill and CAMA law, are among issues that would attract immediate attention.

Senate spokesman, Ajibola Basiru, and many other prominent lawmakers contacted, believe the senate would not shy away from addressing the issues, particularly to the satisfaction of Nigerians.

However, the agitations among senators for the convening of an emergency session might have been shelved following spirited efforts said to have been made by the leadership to persuade lawmakers against it.

A lawmaker in a key northwest state disclosed that because the timing of the emergency session was become close to the September 15 resumption of plenary, superior reasoning had prevailed and the decision among the majority of lawmakers was that every agitation is put on hold until the plenary is opened on Tuesday.

Similarly, a world press conference being planned by opposition lawmakers had been put off. The office of the Minority Leader of the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, believes that at plenary on Tuesday, the contentious issues would be best addressed.

On the petrol price hike, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, Obinna Ogba, could not wait for Tuesday plenary to announce his opposition.

He said the increases in electricity tariff and fuel price at a time the economy was yet to recover from the deadly effects of COVID-19 showed that the government is highly insensitive.

According to him: “The country and indeed the whole world is facing a serious problem right now because of the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, these increases are not good at all. They are adding salt to injury.

“The government is just showing insensitivity to the plights of Nigerians because by increasing the pump price of petrol and electricity tariff, the suffering of the people will become worse. The whole thing is not funny at all.

“You cannot put the blame on the agencies, because there is no way any of the agencies can increase the price of its commodity or service without first getting directive from the leadership of the country.”

Another lawmaker disclosed that many senators had received serious complaints from their constituencies against the abrupt increase in the price of petrol and an increase in electricity tariff.

“I can tell you that legislators are more worried about these price increases because we are closer to the people and many lawmakers have been put under serious pressure by their constituents.

“That is the more reason the executive arm ought to have consulted and listened to us before embarking on this painful exercise,” he added.

The Water Resources Bill, which had put the senate under pressure since it went on holiday, would eventually be laid bare shortly after the plenary is opened.

A principal officer of the chamber said it is better to allow debate on the Bill and many other controversial Bills than keeping them.

The Water Resources Bill is attracting serious criticism, because, among others, it seeks to put the use of all waters, rivers, their banks, and their resources under the control of the Federal Government, at a time many are calling for restructuring, true federalism, and devolution of power from the centre to the states.

The proposed law, first sent to the parliament by the executive in the 8th National Assembly, was passed by the House of Representatives, but the Dr. Bukola Saraki-led senate put it abeyance because of heated criticism against it.

However, incumbent President of the Senate, Lawan, opened the wave of controversy when he openly declared that the Bill would be passed by the 9th National Assembly, adding that the mischief by critics was why it failed to pass in the last senate.

The Bill is a consolidation of existing laws, such as the Water Resources Act 2004; National Water Resources Institute Act; River Basin Development Authorities Act, and the Nigeria Hydrological Services Act.

Boko Haram Terrorist (BHTs) Camps In And Around The Federal Capital Territory
~3.9 mins read
Nothing puts greater timbre on the parlous state of security in the country than the denudation of the virtual hedges and moats around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and the disarray of the phalanx of boots in the city. Abuja was once assumed to be impregnable and residents lived with a false sense of security. But the terrorist blitzes in the national’s capital in 2013 and 2014 jolted many out of the reverie.

With the dawning of the Buhari administration, the bombing in the city petered out. The security forces also appeared to have nicked the insecurity in the north-east to subsidence at the time. I recall that in 2016, Tukur Buratai, chief of army staff, in a fit of showmanship presented a flag reportedly retrieved from the last frontier of the insurgents to President Muhammadu Buhari. But a few months after the “big show”, the insurgency metastasised. What really happened?

As a matter of fact, the FCT enjoyed a bit of calm from terrorism but with flickers of other crimes like armed robbery, one-chance operations, rape and car-jacking. However, as the Buhari administration lost its compass by sleight of abominable incompetence, the entire security bearing of the city and the country caved in – from Borno, Kano, Katsina, Zamfara to Niger, Kogi, and Nasarawa bandits expropriated pieces of earth.

While some of us in Abuja had looked on the devastation of insurgency and banditry in other parts of the country from a ‘’safe’’ distance and with a smirk of privilege, “the doom” comes right at our doors. Really, the Buhari administration has failed spectacularly to secure Nigerians everywhere and anywhere. The government has also failed to secure the very corners from where it sits to preside over the country. What an extravagant failure!

Abuja is home to the headquarters of the DSS, the police, the army, the air force, the navy, the NIA, the DIA, and other security and paramilitary agencies. But right under the lenses of this octopus of agencies, bandits are attacking communities within the territory and on the fringes of the city. What a phenomenal shame! If they cannot secure their base and the areas around it with diligence, can they secure anywhere else in the country?

The DSS and the police, in particular, appear to be very dutiful in combating civil protests and in arresting dissenters. This is while the nation is taken up in galling insecurity. The expertise of these agencies is demonstrable on the civilian population, not on those who have picked up arms against the state.

Just a few days ago, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) issued an anticipatory warning to its officers, saying Boko Haram insurgents had set up hotbeds in Abuja and that they were oiling their cannons to launch attacks on five locations across the nation’s capital.

In an internal memo, H.A. Sabo, comptroller of enforcement at the customs headquarters, asked officers to be on the alert. He spelt out the locations in Abuja, Kogi and Nasarawa where the nurseries of these terrorists are bubbling.

“Information reaching the comptroller-general of customs (CGC) reveals the existence of Boko Haram terrorist (BHTs) camps in and around the Federal Capital Territory,” the memo read.

“Further reports have it that they are planning to attack some selected targets within the territory. They are reported to have set up their camps in the following identified enclaves: Kunyam Bush along airport road, off DIA Staff Quarters – Abuja; Robochi/Gwagwalada forest; Kwaku forest, Kuje, Abuja; Unaisha forest in Toto local government of Nasarawa state and Gegu forest, close to Idu town in Kogi state.

“Consequently, you are to be at alert and security conscious of your environment at all times.’’

What is most disconcerting in the memo is the tone of helplessness by the customs – “consequently, you are to be at alert and security conscious of your environment at all times”. What could be more dispiriting? If an agency in the security network is gripped by trepidation, then it is a serious cause for alarm. We should all be worried.

On Thursday, bandits pushing violence in the Gwagwalada axis of the FCT struck at Tunga Maje, a suburb of Abuja, reportedly kidnapping 20 people after a vehemence of brutality on the community. The community has become a select victim of the invaders who attacked the area some weeks ago. What is telling about the recent attack is that it happened just days after the customs’ memo was reported. There is no reprieve from torment for the residents of Tunga Maje who have to endure intolerable trauma. The government has failed them just as it has failed other Nigerians in states under the reign of bandits and insurgents.

Also, there have been coordinated attacks by bandits in other parts of the FCT – in Kuje where a traditional ruler was kidnapped and in Pegi where nine people including a 12-year-old were abducted. And with every successful onslaught, these gunmen are revivified and excited to inch into the city centre. There have been three reported attacks on a road in Life Camp so far.

Insecurity anywhere should concern us all. First, the security crisis was localised in Borno, then it mushroomed in Yobe, Bauchi and Adamawa; it took the form of banditry in the north-west, and now it is metastasising in the north-central — with Abuja as a trophy target. We must not discount insecurity anywhere. We are all potential victims.

One thing stands out: The Buhari administration has failed on security in all axes – even in its house!

Fire Incidents At INEC Offices Close To Election Day.
~2.0 mins read
Spokesman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Festus Okoye says election in Ondo State will proceed despite the setback caused by the fire incident which destroyed more than 5000 card readers on Thursday night, Igbere TV reports.

Mr Okoye, who was in Akure for preparations for the governorship election scheduled for October 10, told newsmen that the inferno would not affect the conduct of the polls.

He said card readers would be collected from other states which are not conducting elections.

“This is just one state election. What we are going to do is to mop up smart card readers from other states and use them for the conduct of the election while investigating what happened,” he said.

“The cost of 5,141 smart card readers is so much, but we are not going to dwell on that now.

“What we are going to dwell on is to mop up smart card readers from other states that are not conducting elections and use them to conduct Ondo governorship election.

“We will dwell on other issues regarding the configuration of the card readers.”

Fire incidents at INEC offices close to election day are becoming commonplace as about 4,695 smart card readers were destroyed by fire that razed INEC facilities at its headquarters in Awka, Anambra in February 2019 barely four days to the general elections.

Igbere TV recall that there was also similar incident in 2019 at the INEC office in Plateau State and Abia State where its facilities including card readers were destroyed by fire.

Mailafia: Pray For Me, Powerful Political Forces Planning To Silence Me For Speaking Truth.

Nigerians Should Pray For Me, Powerful Political Forces Planning To Silence Me For Speaking Truth —Ex-CBN Deputy Governor, Mailafia

A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Obadiah Mailafia, has asked Nigerians to pray for him as his life was currently in danger.

Mailafia in a statement on Friday claimed that some politicians want to silence him forever for speaking the truth.

The former CBN official had been the guest of the Department of State Services following his claim in an interview that a state governor was a commander of terror group, Boko Haram.

He made the claim while being interviewed on an Abuja-based radio station.

Mailafia said during the lockdown, the insurgents were moving and distributing arms and ammunition across the country.

He said, “Dear comrades, beloved brethren, I have once again (for the 3rd time) been ordered to appear before the DSS at their Jos headquarters this Monday 14th September at 11:00am. This is in addition to our battle in court as my lawyer appears before a Jos High Court today, seeking a restraining order against the DIG Criminal Investigations Department, who are also pursuing me.

“I spent over 20 years of my working life abroad as a university teacher, banker and international civil servant with unblemished record. I have no criminal record not even a parking ticket. Sadly, it is in my own fatherland that I'm being subjected to criminal investigation and such extreme political persecution. Please, pray for me. I have reasons to believe that my life is in danger and that some powerful political forces want to silence me forever for speaking the truth.

“For speaking on behalf of the holy martyrs of thousands of innocent children, women, elderly and youths that have been killed in our beloved country. It is only in our benighted country that a man who speaks from his conscience can be hounded like a common criminal. I'm a believer in nonviolence. Please, no-one should throw even a little stone on my behalf.”

The Nigerian Army Is Pushing For The Payment Of The N50 Million Bounty On Gana
~6.3 mins read
The Nigerian Army is pushing for the payment of the N50 million bounty placed on wanted terrorist gang leader Terwase Agwaza (a.k.a Gana) by Benue Governor Samuel Ortom.

The request came barely 72 hours after Agwaza was killed by troops during an operation by Special Forces Command in Doma, Nasarawa State.

It also came on a day the governor resolved to push ahead with a planned amnesty programme designed by his administration for repentant criminals, despite Agwaza’s death.

A top source in the military, who spoke in confidence with The Nation, said the Army is waiting to see whether or not the governor will fulfill his promise.

The source said the fulfillment of the pledge will determine the extent of the backing from political authority for the military.

The source said: “Our Special Forces have eliminated a notorious criminal/terrorist gang leader, Terwase Agwaza, who has been terrorizing Benue State and environs for too long. He had been on the wanted list of security agencies.

“The Nigerian Army Special Forces Command in Doma Nasarawa State conducted a special operation that helped in destroying notorious camps of criminals and terrorists terrorizing Nigerians along Nasarawa and Kogi States recently.

“The fugitive criminal Gana has been on the wanted listed of security agencies for long. The Benue State governor in the year declared him wanted and placed a N10 million bounty on anyone who can lead to the arrest of Gana.

“Despite the ransom (bounty), Gana still remained elusive, forcing the state government to raise it to N50 million bounty for his arrest. Yet, he was elusive, not until he was gunned down by the Special Forces on 8 September, 2020.

“In the midst of this situation, the Nigerian Army deserves to be paid the N50 million ransom, having killed Gana. The assignment has been completed, the Army should be paid.

“It is not the cash that is important, but the need for political authority to set good precedent by giving backing to the military.

“It is a symbolic reward which the Nigerian Army is ready to take from the governor. It is time to walk the talk. We are already pushing for the bounty.”

Gana was declared wanted after he allegedly killed Ortom’s Special Assistant on Special Security Denen Igbana.

The governor had thrice announced different rewards for anyone with information on Gana, ranging from N5 million and N10 million in 2017 and N50 million in 2020

On July 15, Ortom said: “I want to reiterate that the N50m the government promised as reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the wanted man, Gana (Terwase Akwaza), still stands.”

But, the governor said he would not be distracted by the Terwase’s killing on his way to surrender for amnesty programme.

Ortom told reporters after the State Security meeting in Government House, Makurdi, that his administration decided to proceed with the amnesty programme, despite the temporary setback occasion by Akwaza’s death.

The governor said the State Security Council will today meet with stakeholders from Sankera to review the situation and the way forward.

He said the Council has resolved to continue with the amnesty programme to cover those who retreated, allaying the fears of the repentant youths who may be intending to be part of the programme.

According to Ortom, 42 youths from Logo have been successfully profiled and allowed to return home, pointing out that a committee, headed by his Security Adviser Col. Paul Hembah (rtd), was constituted to work out rehabilitation plans for the repentant youths.

He said his Special Advisers on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Jerome Torshimbe, and that of Special Duties, Joseph Odaudu, have also been drafted as members of the committee.

Other members are: chairmen of Katsina-Ala, Logo and Ukum local government areas. The committee has a mandate to identify skills of the repentant youths for necessary intervention.

The governor said security had been beefed up in Sankera to prevent breakdown of law and order.

He acknowledged the peaceful disposition of the people of Sankera and urged them to sustain it as everything was being done to guarantee the security of lives and property
