For the Sake of the Almighty God, You Might Save Lives

Learn from others’ mistakes, and let others learn too.

A family of three (husband, wife, and a child) returned home at midnight after enjoying dinner at a restaurant. Upon entering their house, the husband noticed a strong smell of gas. He went to the kitchen where the smell was even stronger, and when he turned on the light switch, the kitchen exploded. The husband died instantly, the wife is still in intensive care, and the child survived because she was far away from the blast.

The lesson we must learn is:
When you smell gas, do NOT turn on any lights. Instead, calmly open all windows and doors to ventilate the area. Close the gas valve, and do not turn on any electrical appliances until the gas smell is completely gone.

Also, do NOT open the refrigerator if you smell gas, as it could also trigger an explosion. Even the exhaust fan should not be used, as it creates an electric spark. Just open the windows.
