Reasons Why I Like Meeting With Bandicts.
~1.8 mins read
Kaduna-based Islamic student, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has disclosed reasons why he opted to meet with bandits terrorizing the Northern part of the country.

Gumi disclosed that his interplay with bandits was borne out of his quest to discover a method to the disaster in the North.

speaking with BLENKAS the controversial Islamic cleric said bandits want peace and are inclined to have interaction with nicely which means Nigerians who may be depended on.

He, however, maintained that army confrontation was no longer the solution to banditry.

Gumi pressured that army disagreement would lead to collateral harm for each the safety agencies and the country.

in step with Gumi: “My interest is that my very own country is ravaged with a hassle no person is willing to find a approach to, lack of existence, peasant farmers can’t farm anymore. And we as intellectuals can’t fold arms and watch for the authorities to clear up our issues. We need to do it ourselves.

And as a educated medical doctor, you don’t address a hassle without analysis; that's what made me veer into it, going into the bush to locate the solution.

The answer we discovered suggests that there can in no way be military attacks because the collateral harm could be an excessive amount of for them and the country.

Examine the american military, they have not been able to triumph over the Taliban and i'm able to inform you that the nomadic Fulanis are greater in variety than Talibans, so a military war isn't always the answer.

Unexpectedly, I found out that those humans too want peace and that gave me the foundation that I ought to take this talk to the national level, let Nigerians remember that we're doing this to broker everlasting peace by way of sitting down with those people and displaying them what is possible and what is not.

And they may be ready for that so I don’t see why Nigerians need to be so engrossed. Many people are not geared up for dialogue when they hear Fulani, so also in the bush, after they hear vigilante they say ‘we can in no way sit down to speak about anything with them’. So I think properly which means Nigerians who may be relied on to are available in between.”
