Are You Crushing On A Lady? Toast Her Sister Instead
~1.0 mins read
"when you want to seduce a woman, court her sister first" Stendhal

It is called the triangular effect which suggest that as social beings, we are greatly influenced by the taste and desires of other people. We want what other people want and to an extent, we want to collect it from them for ourselves only.

Thus if you are interested in someone, to make them desire you as well, you must make them see you as a person whom others desire and covet. This principle also border on the law of demand and supply; the more demand on a commodity, the more it's value will continue to increase.

If you are looking for a restaurant to eat, you are certainly not going to enter a restaurant that is empty, you would prefer a restaurant where you see other people eating. This is simply the innate nature of man playing out.

To drive home my point, if you are interested in a lady, trying gaining the attention of people around her; it could be her friend or sister. Your desired lady is likely to develop interest in you too because her guess will be that the other person interested in you must have seen value in you.

Lastly, this principle is not just limited to making a woman desire you. It extend to gaining the attention of a possible business partner or even an employer.

Know What Your Sitting Posture Says About You
~2.5 mins read
Do you know that people don't only get to make assumptions about your character and personally base on what you say alone but that they also draw inferences from your gestures and posture?

Unfortunately, most times we exhibit these traits unconsciously, thereby making people around us to view our personality and character from a perspective that is not favorable to us.

Have you ever wondered why you went for a job interview and ended up not getting the job even when it was obvious that you were most, credential wise, fit for the job? It is not your village people that is following you! It may be as a result of your posture and gestures during the interview. Sitting with your ankles crossed and fidgeting with your fingers are signs that you are not confident about yours self. A sign of low self esteem and no employer will want to hire such a person.

The good thing is that you can learn and master these posture and exhibit them as best as fits the situation. Not only that, it will help you know the caliber of people you are dealing with.

Let's get started! It will be a long read but I assure you, it will be worth your time.

1. Knees Straight

People who sit this way are generally considered to be intelligent, efficient workers, dutiful, honest but reserved. You should emulate this trait. To add to it, according to researchers at Ohio State University, people who sit with knees Straight during job interview are considered fit for the job.

2. Knees Apart

Spreading your legs wide is no gentle man way of sitting. People who sit this way are considered to be self-centered, arrogant and very judgemental. This is certainly a sitting position you would not want to practice.

3. Crossed Legs

People who sit this way are generally considered to be imaginative, innovative and artistic.

On a negative note, sitting with legs crossed also indicate defensive or closed-off attitude. You feel insecure, a trait which make you reluctant to allow people into your personal life.

4. Ankle Crossed

This sitting position is associated with royalty. It will interest you to know that this is the official sitting style of the British Royal Family.
Those who sit this way are confident, elegant, chivalrous and defensive.

However, sitting with your ankles crossed and at the same time fidgeting with your fingers may in the opposite, indicate shyness and lack of confidence.

5. Figure Four Leg Lock

The boss like sitting style. If you sit this way, you are normally perceived as dominating, confident, argumentative and proud.

If you are meeting with someone one whom you intend to ask for a favour, this sitting style should not be exhibited by you, If not, your counter-part may perceive you as proud and arrogant.

The above mentioned sitting postures are just a few out of the plethora of sitting positions. Time will not allow me to expand on them all. But if you my readers wish, I will run another part to this post. Tell me, what are your opinions?
