I step out each night
In hopes to be with someone,
But in disappointment I ended up alone.
I find solace by looking up to the heavens,
Glancing at the twinkling stars
Lifting me out of the disappointment.
I stare at them time and again
Deepening it's connection with my soul,
Sometimes I reach out 
Trying to commune with them
And let my soul take a space amongst them
But alas it's a space I can't go
No matter how lonely my soul.

But right now I'm missing that heart
Because I'm a long way from home.
The feeling of comfort and fun,
Rest and entertainment,
Are starting to feel elusive to me.
And it sickens me to my core
That I still have a long way to go
Before getting to where my heart is once more.
