In that speech, The president made it clear that Africa contributed little if any to the climate change menace but it is suffering it's consequences."He graphically cited the case of the lake Chad which ran down from 25,000sqkms to 2,500sqkm and with that jeopardising the livehoodsof 40million inhabitants of the basin found in Nigeria,Niger,Chad and Cameroon. -To formulate appropriate policies towards achieving green growth and substainable economy of the country at large

-He also mentioned that the development marked the commercement of the implementation of the climate change ACT 2021 and a new chapter in the renewed response to climate change in the country

-He added that "it(climate change) is complex and dynamic and requires multi dimensional and multi sectional initiative's to address it's impacts and avert it's rapid advance

-To strengthen and accelerate the implementation of decisive actions to reduce it's impacts on the people and economy
