Palm Queen 6
~0.7 mins read
She came as she said she would, and I didn't know if I should be scared or not, but I was shocked that's for sure. The point though was how she got my name I never remember telling her my name, so I had to ask her.
"I know many things Zikora, so many things that I forget the important ones." I watch her gaze ahead for a while as if trying to recount some memories.
"What do to want from me?"
"Be patient Zikora being to fast is never a virtue. For you to do anything for me you have to first of all know how I am."
She was right of course, "then who are you?"
"My name is Chinwe, I have being roaming about and searching for someone like you an Acha. Who can finally help me find my home."
Yeah, I do not understand any thing she just said...

Palm Queen 5
~1.1 mins read
That night I felt restless and kept turning on my mat, sighing so loud that Nnenne had to hush me and then threaten me until I stilled my movement. Though eventually I did fall asleep it wasn't blissful and i woke up feeling like I'd not even slept a wink.
Days passed and nothing happened. The palm queen had told me she would call on me but I heard nothing from her. Not that I wanted her to, but it wasn't easy or should say comfortable walking about and always turning at every soft whisper I hear.
I really wanted this to end ...
It was three market days later though that she came around, by then I had almost forgotten about her and started to wonder if I had just dreamt it up, when I felt the tap.
I was on my way to deliver some breadfruit Nnedi on Nnennes' behalf when i felt goisebumps crawl over my skin.
"Zikora." At first it was a whisper... refusing to turn around and acknowledge it I stepped up my pace.
"Zikora." This time around the voice cerrassed me though the hairs on the back of my neck stood erect.
"Zikora." I recognized that voice... and even though my head told me not to look I still did, i turned around.
And there standing in the middle if the road and smiling so regally stood the palm queen starring straight at me.
"How do you know my name?" Was all I could ask as the basket of breadfruit slipped from my hands.
