In the animal kingdom, anybody who has money was honoured and respected. The mouse happened to be one of the richest and famous animals in the village.

 In the village, there was a magician who tricked people by promising to double the money they brought to him.

 So one day, the magician asked him to withdraw all his money in the bank and bring it to his house for doubling.

 Mouse took the money to the magician and was told to come back the next day. The next day, he went there and realized he was duped he fainted.

Someone came knocking

At my wee, small door;

Someone came knocking

I am sure...sure...sure

I listened, I opened,

I look to left and right,

But no one was there a stirring.

        In the still dark night, 

          Only the busy beetle

        Tap-tapping in the wall

           Only from the forest

     The screech owl call,

       Only the cricket whistling

          While the dewdrops fall, 

    So I know who not came knocking

        At all, at all, at all.
