The super eagles of Nigeria will be hoping to perform better when they play their next match against Ecuador. But there are some players the coach needs to drop to the bench of he wants the team to produce better results. Here are 4 players Jose Peseiro should drop to the bench if he wants Nigeria to perform better.

 

1 - William Troost Ekong: The Watford defender has not been in a good form in recent times and he should not be the one to lead the defense line of the super eagles of Nigeria. He barely played a game for Watford football club last season and that has affected him.

 

He was very sloppy when he was used against Mexico a few days ago. His lack of playing time with Watford football club has affected his performance and he needs to be dropped. He scored an own goal from what should have been an easy clearance during the match against Mexico.

 

2 - Innocent Bonke: Jose Peseiro should drop the young midfielder to the bench because he was not able to perform well against Mexico. He was not able to initiate any attack and he was culpable of giving away possession of the ball too easily.

 

 

 

Innocent Bonke was always passing the ball backward during the match against Mexico even when he should be forcing an attack. He is not the kind of midfielder that Jose Peseiro should use. He should be dropped to the bench in the next match against Mexico.

 

3 - Chidozie Awaziem: This is not just the player who should be in the defense line for the super eagles of Nigeria. He made a lot of errors during the match against Mexico and he should not start the match against Ecuador. He should be replaced by Jose Peseiro.
