SOME HIDDEN FACTS ABOUT SPACE SCIENCE
~0.6 mins read
Every 90 seconds we move 20,000 km into the orbit of the galactic center, the Earth and all other planets revolve around the Sun. Our star doesn’t remain stationary in space: it in turn rotates around the center of the Milky Way at a speed of 800,000 km/h.
This means that in just 90 seconds we're moving 20,000 km along the orbit around the center of the galaxy!
These numbers are impressive, but keep in mind that the Sun is about 26,000 light-years from the galactic center.
By doing the math, our star completes a revolution in approximately 220 million years!
Just to think about it, the last time the Sun was in its current position, exactly one orbit ago, dinosaurs appeared on Earth.
Since the formation of the Solar System, our star has only given about twenty revolutions around the center of the galaxy.

THE PLUTO
~0.5 mins read
This is the most clearest picture of Pluto ever taken! It was taken recently by the New Horizons planetary probe.
This image was captured with the Ralph imaging instrument. The surface of the payment is a cool -400 degrees and from this angle it looks like the moon of Europa or Jupiter II. The red could be copper, the blue could be copper sulphate or cobalt.
We’ll find out more as we explore this planet on the farthest side of our Solar System even further over the next decade or so.
The science of space and technology creates lots of fascinating things to the imagination of the human kind.
