TITLE: TO WALK IN HOLINESS AND THE FEAR OF GOD IS A CHOICE...

TEXT: DANIEL 1:8

"BUT DANIEL PURPOSED (DECIDED) IN HIS HEART that he would NOT DEFILE HIMSELF with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself".

 *SPIRITUAL NUGGET:* 

" WHAT YOU HAVEN'T DECIDE IN YOUR HEART TO STAND FOR CANNOT BE STRONG IN YOUR LIFE, BECAUSE DECISION AND CHOICES ARE WHAT MAKES MEN..."

 *LET'S GO DEEPER:* 

If Daniel could DECIDE in his heart NOT TO DEFILE HIMSELF in his days of the Babylonian Government which were highly Surrounded with IMMORALITY and SIN that means it is very possible to be DISCIPLINE, OUTSTANDING AND DIFFERENT from the crowd. Now come to think of it, hope you KNOW that during that time, there was no salvation, no OUTPOURING of the Holy Spirit and no Economy of Grace that we are enjoying today, yet HE WAS NOT DEFILED. Why because, "... HE PURPOSED (DECIDED AND FULLY MAKE UP HIS MIND) never to be DEFILED WITH THE PORTION OF THE KINGS MEET (from Babylon)..." So you see, this connotes the fact that, HOLINESS is a possibility in this generation inspite of the crooked system we are surrounded with. To Walk in the FEAR OF GOD AND HOLINESS is not a GIFT, but a decision that requires your Discipline. It is so unfortunate to see that we are now living in a generation that doesn't care about pleasing God and upholding His Kingdom standards and Values. They have become so acquainted and consumes by the CORRUPT system of This world thereby now throwing away the standard of ZION.

When people are still saying, "Well, you KNOW in this last days it is not really easy to be a Christian. To walk in holiness and the Fear of God..." Now God is saying, " LOOK AT DANIEL. IT IS POSSIBLE!" He is using the life of DANIEL as a perfect example and reference point that even IN THE MIDST OF BABYLON, HOLINESS AND THE FEAR OF GOD IS Absolutely possible. YES! It is all about your DECISION. This same Daniel we talk about during his days, there was no GRACE neither was the Ministry of the Holy Spirit was available to help him, but HE TRUIMPHED and walked with God. The question is: WHAT DID HE KNOW? WHICH ECONOMY DID HE OPERATES WITH that gave him so much relevance before God, spirits, Kings, queen and mere Men? It is called the Economy of MERCY. YES! He found MERCY to uphold His RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS before God because HE SINCERELY DECIDE IN HIS HEART TO WALK WITH GOD all the days of his life.

 *ACTION POINT:* 

It doesn't really matter where you are or you are or what Surrounds you or the kind of job you do as a Christian, you can still be outstanding. I mean, you can make a distinct by PROPOSING (DECIDING) in your HEART TO STAND FOR JESUS in HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS. It really doesn't matter how people Will see or judge you in the course of obeying God, but what matters most is what God says concerning you. It pays to be different. It pays to walk in HOLINESS AND THE FEAR OF GOD why because, "RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTS A NATION, but SIN IS A REPROACH UNTO MANY..." God is counting on you to make the difference. Don't join the crowd. May God's Spirit rest upon you STRONG in Jesus Name, Amen!
