Chapter 2

She should have stopped dating when her previous boyfriend cheated on her but she had decided to give James a chance and that's because she thought that things would work out but seeing James in another woman arms tells her that her luck in love will never work. So it's best to be alone for the rest of her life.

  She made it to Juliet house and on the third knock. Juliet came to open the door looking around before pulling Lily into her tiny room

"Where have you been ?"Juliet asked as they both took a seat on the only chair in Juliet house.

"It's a long story. I can only tell you that I....."

"That doesn't matter. What matters now is that you have to get out of here. El Goro have been looking for you"Juliet said reminding her of the loan she had borrowed from a notorious loan shark.

"Have completely forget about him. Was he here yesterday for the money?"Lily asked.

"I told him that you will be back today and he said that if he should come back and you don't have his money. He is going to sell you to people who kill and sell organs"Juliet said worriedly.

"Have got to leave"Lily said as she began to leave the house.

"Won't you take your stuff?"Juliet asked as they both packed her little possession into her bag.

"Take the train there and you will meet my aunt who will be waiting for you"Juliet said as she handed her a bit of money.

"I can't take this"Lily said as she tried to give her back but Juliet refused it.

"Using that money to escape is better than dying"Juliet said.

"Thanks for being so concerned "Lily said as she tried to give her a hug but Juliet pulled back.

"Am only worried about the money you owe me. You can't die without paying me back"Juliet said and Lily gave her a frown.

I am a 24 year old young woman who was in a bad relationship for 3 years.

When I met this guy I thought it was him.

His sweet words made me believe in him.

He loved me and finally I fell in love with him.

I did everything to please him, I went to prove my love for

him, I sacrificed my life for him but he was too blind to see all of this.

The best he could do was keep telling me how beautiful other girls are, how my hair style makes him sick.

He complained about almost everything in my life.

I started to have low self-esteem as if I am unworthy and

I didn't feel attractive.

One day he made a mistake calling me desperate.

He told me I wasn't the type of girl he wanted to get married

to and it broke me to pieces.

I was on a campus and about to write my exams and I couldn't

study and even wish to commit suicide but I thank God because he spoke meaning in my life.

I stood in front of the mirror and looked at the beautiful woman.

I'm myself, studied for exams and did it well.

I graduated last year and found a job at one of the largest companies in the United States.

At the beginning of this year I met a gentleman who didn't even want to wait for him to put a ring on my finger and right now I'm engaged and I'm going to marry one of the best men in the world.

I realized a lot of things I couldn't have achieved if I was still with this loser.

A few weeks ago he called and asked to see me.

I didn't refuse, I went to meet him, I'm beautiful, drive my car and wearing a ring on my finger.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Took him to one of the best restaurant and paid all the bills.

He shouted and asked for forgiveness but it was too late.

Everyone you worked so hard and neglected you would come back to beg when your glory shines!!!
