Chapter three

It was morning the next day and Jason was set to see Pa James, same as Pa James and then there was a knock at Pa James' door.

"Come in, the door is not locked", Pa James said.

"Otutu oma (Good morning) sirrr ...", Jason said on entering the door but on the both sighting each other, they exclaimed in surprise and started laughing.

"Who told you to make tea nau?", Jason said.

"Who also told you to make tea?", Pa James said laughing.

"So what are we going to do now?".

"What we are going to do, you ask? You are not serious oh, we are going to sit down and devour them all na, after all the Bible says God has given us all things richly to enjoy or is it not in your own Bible?". 

"It is sir", Jason said laughing as he entered the kitchen to get the plates and cups with which he was going to use to serve the bread and tea. 

After serving the meal, they blessed it and began to dwell on it.

It took them twenty minutes of eating, chattering and washing the plates and cups before Pa James eventually cleared his throat meaningfully while Jason adjusted himself appropriately knowing it was time for business.

"So Jason, I want us to talk... what really happened yesterday's morning", Pa James asked.

"Erm daddy, what actually happened was that that morning...", Jason said as he narrated the whole incident to Pa James.

"Hmm...", Pa James grunted meditatively, "Jason, I hope you know it was God that spoke to you".

"Daddy I know, but what I don't understand is how He called me a liar because I said I love everybody, I mean I don't remember having any grudges towards anybody", Jason said.

"Hmm... God at times uses the face of people we respect so much to speak to us, God spoke to you son and we must not take it with levity, I have this feeling that the Lord wants to address an area of your life, we will pray, but you also have to do a soul searching to find out what God is saying, keep your heart open, don't try to stop God, allow Him to fish out whatever He wants to fish out, we may not understand this clearly but with time the Lord will open our eyes, but we will pray for God to shed more light on this, I want you to serious about this because for the Lord to call you a liar because of your reply to Him, then I'm afraid, there is a serious matter to be addressed, I will be praying for you, but just know that greater bulk of the work lies in your hand, are you getting me?".

"Yes sir", Jason replied.

"Let's pray...", Pa James continued as he held Jason's hands, "Lord Jesus...Father... Your light, shed Your light...", Pa James prayed as he began to pray in tongues for some minutes before he started prophesying, "ALLOW ME TO ADDRESS IT SON, STOP RUNNING AWAY, LET GO, REFUSING TO LET GO MAKES YOU A LIAR, LET GO SON...".

"Lord, I don't understand, I don't understand...", Jason said as he started crying.

"Lord please reveal the matter to Your son", Pa James prayed still holding his hands.

"No, no, it can't be, Jason, you are just over thinking... no you just... it is a figment of your imagination, you have done the best you can, don't think too far...

But... how am I sure, can this be God, what if... but this is difficult, Lord I am human, I am not a stone that can not be affected... 

No, no, infact it is not it, God understands how I feel, I don't have a High Priest who is not sympathetic, satan get behind me, you lie, you thought you could appear as an angel of light, but you have failed woefully, go tell your members, I can't fall for your tactics, I can't fall for your gimmicks...", Jason said as he received so many conflicting thoughts.

"But wait ooo.... check this thing nau, can the devil tell you to let go of this, no nau..." Jason heard in his spirit.

"No, once bitten, twice shy, letting go means you are ready to receive back the havoc, how sure are you that you are ready to let go", a more rash voice told Jason.

"Jason, let go... stop struggling", Pa James told Jason pleadingly with his eyes closed tightly.

 "No, that is not what God is telling me to let go, shut up, stop disturbing me, I don't know what you are talking about ok, even if it is it, God has given everyone a free will, this is what I want, get out", Jason said to himself.

Immediately Jason made that conclusion, Pa James paused suddenly and shook his head in a disapproving manner, "In Jesus name", he said and they both chorused "Amen".

"Jason...", Pa James called looking deep into his eyes intently.

'Daddy, if you like talk from A-Z, this my mouth will not tell you anything oh', Jason said in his heart.

"Son, don't be stubborn... today, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart". Pa James said.

"Dad, if there is anything to tell you, I will definitely tell you, I will keep praying sir, I appreciate your concern sir", Jason said.

"Hmm, ok", Pa James said.

Then silence reigned in their midst, Jason was finding the silence unbearable and discomforting as he quickly wanted to go back to his house but he didn't know how to tell Pa James without him (Pa James) suspecting him (Jason), while Pa James was thinking deeply as his heart was grieved that his son was not ready to open up because he knew the Lord had revealed to him the matter but Jason was not ready to let go, he was praying silently, asking God for mercy on Jason's behalf.

Some Days Later...

A knock was heard on Jason's door...

"I'm coming", Jason said from inside as he walked to the door to open it to find who was at the door.

"You... what are you doing here, who gave you my house address, who? You think you can just run away and wake up one day after many years and come back, you... are... joking Mr. Man...", Jason said boiling with hot anger on finding out who was at his door.

What is Jason struggling with that he has refused to let go of?

It is very dangerous to kick against God's instructions.

If you are reading this today and the Lord is asking you to do something, do not harden your hearts, do not build a wall of restrain in your heart.

"These words keep ringing in our ears: Today, please listen; don't turn a deaf ear as in the bitter uprising."

Open your heart to Him and let Him have His way.

Jason looked at the screen of the phone for a while.

"No one is picking this call old man", Jason said as he dropped the phone on the side table which he intially picked it from.

The phone kept ringing and ringing.

"Oh oh oh, Daddy please, hmm... I can't cut this call... alright, I will just reduce the volume, I don't like disturbance, when he deems it fit to stop, he will", Jason said as he reduced the volume.

After a while, Jason glanced at his phone and realized that the calls had ceased.

"Thank you sir", Jason said as he gave a sigh of relief, then he removed his gaze from the phone and looked elsewhere.

"I have called him several times, he is not picking, he is not picking, he is not picking.

God has shown me some of the beautiful plans He has for this boy.

Beautiful plans! Awesome plans! Amazing plans!

The devil definitely is not happy about this and that is why he is scheming against him, wanting to truncate his destiny.

But that is not the issue.
