*Fulfilling Purpose Requires You To Carry Your Cross*

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24 KJV).

 We can't run from carrying our cross if we must fulfill our purpose and destiny that has been earmarked by God before we were born.

The cross is a necessity in fulfilling God's purpose for our lives.

The cross is a symbol of self denial and discomfort you face on your path to destiny which is the consequence of death your will so you can follow God's will for your life.

You are a business man then one day God tells you to leave your business and go to the field to win lost souls to Him or you are medical Doctor,  but God has told you that He gave you a melodious voice so you can be His minstrel

in the church.

The discomfort /persecution you will face in choosing to do God's will as an Evangelist and a Minstrel is the cross you have to carry in fulfilling His purpose for your life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

"Romans 9:16

So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy." 

Beloved, take time this morning to meditate on the mercy of God . Consider errors you have made that could have brought death. Consider times you were sick . Now think of favours God has done you don't deserve. 

But have you APPRECIATED God enough ? 

Does your lifestyle, attitude and character reflect the mercy of God ? Pray today. Father forgive me for living like life is by my power. Teach me to humble myself and submit to you. Help me to treat others with mercy as you have shown me. In Jesus name, amen.
