Dream-state Confrontation With Mr Peter Obi (LP Presidential Candidate)
~6.5 mins read
I Love to stay neutral in politics, because I know that as humans, the older you get, the dirtier your hands... No one is clean, so try not to make one look dirtier or cleaner.

--------------------------------------------

After a hard night's job, I laid down to sleep as I would usually do in the mornings...

I may have been having hypnagogic hallucinations, because I was very tired and drowned in coffee the previous night. Nigeria’s election was the last on my thought.

But as I closed my eyes, it was Mr Peter Obi I saw. I can remember the conversation went with the following theme:

Me: Oh! You don’t come here; don’t think being a namesake means anything to me. You are not perfect and you know it, we both know your flaws, why do you have to act like you are perfect?

PO: Peter, I have to be a good example. I have not stood anywhere to claim purity

Me: Well Mr. Peter, let the people decide. I do not have the perceptive qualities the masses have, I am not in the country.
And, Look Peddling drugs or being corrupt is just like having other weaknesses. We all have weaknesses and we as Nigerians are our own problem. We cannot judge them by their weaknesses, just because yours is concealed. Please leave

PO: Peter, do you expect failures just because you have weaknesses? What about effort? What about your sacrifices? You claim every good person would go to a place in heaven with all their flaws?

Me: Mr Peter, I need to be convinced.

He left….

This night he came again and the confrontation continued

PO: Can I ask you?

Me: Yes

PO: Someone has to win right? Tell me who and why?

--------------------------------------------
At this point, I attempted to see beyond the material, beyond what could be easily manipulated. Educational qualifications and public integrity and persona can be falsely curated and are not true representations of people. In my dream, I tried to hold what I could see that would be hard to curate.

What did each candidate have to loose and how natural are their supporters?

--------------------------------------------

Me: Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has got it all to win, and he can transform Nigeria.
Accusations of drug peddling or media goofs are not enough to write him off. There are many genuinely good people who use these hard drugs and these compounds were first isolated and used by good people, no moral case, and if the government completely decriminalizes drugs, that artificial sin is completely washed away. And the media goofs? Well, he is old, doesn’t mean he can’t think, he may have social anxiety or be on any spectrum of social disorder that doesn’t necessarily hinder his comprehension or ability act in the right capacity as president. He isn't a good public performer.
But the people of Nigeria who strive to do good no matter how slow or weak, have tried to see things without sentiments and prejudice and think they have nothing to hold on him as collateral for failure to perform, his family is too powerful, he is old, and seems to have nothing to loose.
Worse, it looks like the forces of nature are angry at him. His house is divided and powerful members of his household are offering worship and making libations for his downfall.
It is not written in his destiny to be Nigeria’s president, he is a king maker. If he forces it, the outcome may be disastrous.

Past VP Atiku Abubakar, has a good command of charisma. Atiku chased academia and brought in a medical doctor, yet time has proved without number that it’s not education that matters when it comes to leadership.
His past doesn’t nullify him, we all have a past and we are all capable of change, but his mind is not steady on his goal, he is seriously distracted and is contemplating stepping down for you.
Gov. Wike is too adventurous and opinionated to settle with Atiku. He has your back.
The people also do not have anything to hold him by, he is too powerful to held accountable.
He doesn’t have enough offerings of pure worship behind him too.

Sowore, is campaigning for the next election. He would eventually get his conscience and pour it all out for you. This is a typical Yoruba man, he knows when to pay homage, and he knows when to fight. He is just experimenting, he is patient and he will strike someday but in the future.

Now, look at you, you don’t look tough. Can you shoulder this? You are going to get everything wrong from the onset, but they will all turn out right, because you don’t do it yourself. You understand there is a force behind you. You have no experience, but like Mahatma Gandhi who defeated the British without weapons, you would prevail.

According to numerology, you are Leo, a natural born leader.

You have been saddled with the responsibility of quenching the thirst for Biafra in the east.

Past VP, Atiku Abubakar and President Mohammad Buhari would be happy when you win. Buhari is a good man, but it wasn’t his destiny to turn Nigeria around. And people like Buhari have a natural likeness for people like you, whom he tried to model after but nature kept failing him. He did give his best. He would try all he can to peacefully deliver you to the people, you are his peace offering.

But do you want to do this? You have a lot at stake.

You have a massive reputation to protect; you would be under so much pressure to perform that you would rather give your life.

You are a born priest, whatever evil you do would hunt you faster.

And if you fail, everyone behind you for nothing but good fails
1. The youth (there would be no fire left)
2. Every single Bishop, Priest, Reverend sister in Nigeria
3. Every single Muslim who decided to look beyond religion (Religion/Spirituality is often placed above politics)
4. The Catholic Church (Despite not an ordained priest, you have achieved a status like that of a catholic Bishop, your failure would badly tarnish the image of the Catholic Church)
5. The entire south-eastern state (It would be their last shot in a long, long time if you fail)

No other candidate has the level of pressure you are putting on yourself. You would have been happier without this responsibility. Can’t you see the game is unfair to you? Why do you play?

You are presenting your life to Nigeria, and then they must grab every inch of it.

It is your destiny to be on seat when the country would be turned around.

The world and Africa is behind you, many people have joined their minds with yours to create the huge ball of energy influencing the tide of events.

If this destiny is overturned, the payment would be tears and blood.

Congratulations Mr. President

Then I woke up. Grateful it was a dream…I am honestly not prepared to meddle in political matters.

My stand
All the candidates are great people and they would each make great presidents. I don’t have abilities to read people’s minds. I do not know any of the candidates personally to vouch for any of them. This is my stand.
