A Dragon's Thought
~0.9 mins read
She stood there, high up there on the mountain top looking down on the humans. Such fickle beings, not so long ago they had voted for the silkle to be burnt to death. She didn't understand them though why did they fear those things unknown to them and instead of trying to get to know they try to get rid of it. She huffed puffs of smoke coming out of her nostrils just trying to understand them was frustrating enough now she had to endure a year with them in her human form.
If this had been 346 years ago when Flint the oldest of her mother's kit had gone to experience his trial, she wouldn't have been this worried. They were naive back then and more accepting. Plus they didn't rush to burn any firm of magic as they do now.
She knew her kind was at fault though if only the Halle house had not provoked the council, they wouldn't have suffered the after effects of our war and be this wairy of anything magic, so they were not to be blamed...
She sighed, "well lets get this over with."
And with a pushed of her great front paw she pushed up from the mountain free falling... when she touched down on the soft earth she was but a young girl.

Gone
~1.0 mins read
Woke up early and went about my day...
You were tapped awake and started to pray...
I said a short prayer and proceeded with my chores...
You started to pray and collapsed...
I finished my chores and lay down to rest a bit before going out.
You were found slumped and rushed to the hospital.
I had a phone call, "mama is in coma, Ezinne pray for her!" I did not believe but held on saying "nothing will happen to her."
No doctor in seat, they had to rush you to state house clinic.
I did not believe kept consoling myself, "nothing will happen to you." Went about my day on my way to work received a phone call.
 "Mama is dead."
"No!" I said.
No not when I did not have the galls to call you and tell you how well I'm doing for fear of having to answer those questions you always loved to ask.
Five years, was how long I did not see you. I was always busy, and our schedule always clashed you were aways in and out of the hospital.
I wish we spoke enough, I wish I had made that call. I miss you mama but the Lord loves you more so rest in His bossom.
