Granny fell today! 

It was bound to happen eventually but well it still came as a surprise. She was trying to step out of the bathroom after her morning bath, and I was trying to fix up some breakfast after cleaning up the house. 

 When I heard a thundering sound... boom! Followed by her shouts, "Ewo! Ewo! Ewo! Chidera bia oh, come oh!" 

"Mama what happened to you?" I had to ask surprised even when I saw clearly that she was on the floor. 

 "Don't ask me that question, Chidera help me up. Oh Nnemu," she said shaking her head as with a mournful look on. 

 "Yes ma... mama hold my hand," I gave her my hand as a support. I stood, held the wall, and took a deep breath. 

Eventually she got up, though it was a hard fight. I can remember her words though afyŕ everything.

"Old age... is a hassle."

Let's take hike someday on wonderland twin peaks, I want to see that view you so much love to talk about. I want to feel the trees and share a moment right in your arms up there, as we listen and back and walk and groan as we make our way up.

I would love a quite walk and if you don't mind, it would be perfect if the only interaction we had along the way was the music or preferably a podcast or even better an audio book  coming from our ear buds. 

And if I get tired of hiking,  or mistakenly sprain my ankle, you'ld offer to carry me. Cause you know how I always lie down with my books, from the wee hours when we wake up to when you walk in after work at the end if the day. 

When you get tired and complain as I know you would I can gently chide you and tell you how much I love you. 

Cause you I do, if not I wouldn't even suggest this hike.
