14 Arsenal Players Who Are Out On Loan
~6.6 mins read
The 2020/21 season is well underway and the transfer window has been shut. London clubs Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal were not messing around at all and made sure of notable additions to their squad.
Arsenal managed to put together deals for centre backs Pablo Mari and Gabriel from Flamengo and LOSC Lille respectively, Cedric Soares and Willian on free transfers from Southampton and Chelsea respectively and Thomas Party joined from Atletico Madrid on deadline day. In all the gunners spent more than €80m on new transfers.
On the other hand a lot of players who's chances of playing regularly were slim left on loan in search of consistent first team football. Below is a roundup of all the Arsenal players who are out on loan for the 2020/21 season in Europe:

Mattéo Guendouzi.

I cannot really fathom how it went wrong for the Frenchman because he really looked promising when I watched him stand out against Manchester United. When he joined the Gunners for a reported £7m fee from Lorient, then Head Coach Unai Emery said:
'He has big potential.......He wants to learn and improve and will be an important part of our first-team squad."
Though we cannot really tell exactly where his struggles started, we know that Emery lost his job and Arteta too over, the new coach didn't trust him that much and he also had issues about discipline. Both club and player have now decided that he spend the season on loan at Herta BSC to mature.

Konstantinos Mavropanos.

He joined Arsenal in January of 2016 as one of he many acquisitions as the Gunners attempt to solve their central defensive problems. He spent last season on loan with Bundesliga side FC Nuremberg and he returns to same league this season but this time to VfB Stuggart. Arteta and the club have decided that he continues his development away form the Emirates.

Lucas Torreira.

For a long time it looked like the Uruguay star will be playing in Arsenal's midfield for some more years but that hasn't been the case.
I really believe that it is because of preference and choice. Arteta does not want him so he goes for Atletico Madrid's Thomas Party and it's a straight swap. Partey joins Arsenal permanently while Torreira moves to Atletico Madrid on a 1-year loan.

Dejan Iliev.

The 25-year old Macedonian goalkeeper has been at Arsenal for 8 years having joined back in 2012 but is yet to make a single first team appearance. He spends this season on loan with English league one club Shrewsbury.

Matt Smith.

The 19-year old central midfielder is of English Descent and he joined League one club Swindon town on loan for the season.

Mark McGuiness.

The 19-year old centre back joins another league one club Ipswich town on loan for the season.

Tyreece John Jules.

The 19-year-old striker spends the season in league one with Doncaster.

Ben Sheaf.

The 22-year-old midfielder will be in the championship with Coventry.

Daniel Ballard.

The 21-year-old centre back is in league one with Blackpool.

Jordi Osei-Tutu.

The 21-year old Anglo-Ghanian rightback will be at championship side Cardiff City.

Tray Coyle.

The 19-year old English winger is in league one with Gillingham FC.

Zack Swanson.

The 19-year-old plays at right back and spends the season in the Netherlands with MVV Maastricht.

Zech Medley.

The 20-year-old center back joins Tray Coyle at league 1 side Gillingham FC.

Tolaji Bola.

The 21-year-old Anglo-Nigerian left back is in league one with Rochdale.
In your opinion, Is There any player that should have stayed? Is there another player that you wanted to go out on loan?
