Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala, who plays as a striker for Barcelona Femení has been nominated for the 2020 UEFA fans’ Women’s Team of the Year.
 
The Nigerian international, 26, who has scored twice this season for the Spanish women’s side is the only Nigerian female player shortlisted, among the 50-woman listed for the award by UEFA on Tuesday.

 

“The nominees are proposed by the UEFA editorial team before being validated by the Technical Observer panel on the basis of their performances in UEFA competitions and domestic competitions within UEFA member associations from January to December 2020,” UEFA said in a statement on Tuesday. 
 
“The UEFA.com Women’s Team of the Year is chosen to reflect the votes of the fans in parallel with players’ achievements over the course of the calendar year, moderated by the UEFA Technical Observer panel.”

A song that Lionel Messi told Uefa back then that it reminds him of how special the competition is.

Gareth Bale once said he wanted to play for Real Madrid to listen to the Champions league Anthem.

Zineden Zidane said..."Magic is Magic above all else when you hear the anthem it captivates you straight away".
Stefan Effenberg the legendary Bayern Munich captain said quote: "when I hear the music the hairs stand up on the back of my neck,it is spine tingling.
Indeed of all songs and chants that have soundtracked football none is compared to this,it builds a sense of anticipation that is nerve cracking.
The Anthem was written by a Croydon man named Tony Britten and part of the tune was dubbed from Hendels "Zodiac priest"which is tradition performed by brittish mornachs.
In 1992,According to Uefa, Hooliganism was a major, major problem in Uefa, so they wanted to take the competition to a completely different area and a completely different level.
They (Uefa) wanted the competition to be classic so they developed new ways of branding the European cup which would be renamed the Uefa champions League and therefore led to the star logo on the ball.
The music however, is a an art of beauty and mastercraft, because it is said that the anthem is associated with the cup itself.
Meaning that during it's production,it really was intended to captivate not only the listeners but also the people at home watching before Kick-off,where it displays the previous team to have lifted the trophy.
The horns in the music communicate a shinning metallic sound which musically reflects the trophy itself.
Such that when the music is played it then gives you the impression that it is time for football.it is chilling, exotic and above all else passionate translating the passion we have for the game.
Above all still,surprisingly many football fans around the globe don't have an idea of what the music connotes,which is very sad, considering that the song is played for quite a couple of times in a year.
But they can be excused, considering the anthem is written and spoken in Francais (French)language.And French frankly speaking in not,or moreover yet a global language as opposed to English.
Meanwhile according to analysis, It is said that before the year '2030'- French as a language will be used more on a global scale than English.
Moreover till then we football fans should be able to know what is the meaning of this enthusiastic Anthem.
The words express the strength and class of the teams and the sports event.It illustrates the grande football teams that fill Uefa with specific beauty.
Starting with the first line which says;
