Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal. Champions Fight Back
~8.5 mins read
Champions Liverpool maintained their perfect Premier League start as they fought back to inflict a first defeat of the season on Arsenal at Anfield.
Arsenal led as Alexandre Lacazette capitalised on Andrew Robertson's miscued clearance, but Sadio Mane drew the hosts level three minutes later.
Robertson atoned for his error as he met Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross to complete a nine-minute turnaround.
Summer signing Diogo Jota scored late on to seal the points for Liverpool.
Reds goalkeeper Alisson produced a fine save to deny Lacazette a second-half equaliser, while Jota also fired wide at close range after coming on as a second-half substitute.
Jurgen Klopp's side join Leicester City and Everton at the top of the table on nine points after three successive league wins.
More to follow.
