TWO PILLARS IN BUILDING A GODLY OPPOSITE SEX RELATIONSHIP 

A godly relationship is one that has God at the center. It's a relationship that is built according to the pattern of God's kingdom as revealed in the word of God.

It does not mean that you will not face struggles or temptations in your relationship with the opposite sex, you sure will but you have decided to live by God's word, not by your emotions because you have Jesus Christ as Lord of your life and the Holy Spirit is always in you to guide you into all truths.

The Two pillars in building a Goldy Relationship Are:

1. Prayer:

 To build a godly relationship with the opposite sex you must pray, the bible says we should pray so that we don't fall into temptation which means that if we don't pray we will fall into temptation.

What are you to pray about?

Pray for the grace to walk in wisdom and righteousness. Pray that you will both walk in the will of God for your lives, etc.

2. The Word of God:

The word of God should be the final authority in your relationship with the opposite sex, not the world system or your emotions. The word of God will renew your mind so you can honor God in your relationships.

Have brothers come to you and told you God said you are their spouse?

As a counselor over the years I have seen single sisters lament how Christian brothers who claimed God told them that they will be their spouse end up abusing them emotionally and physically in the

 relationship.

They leave them heart broken with the brother seeming not to care about the sister being hurt and then move to the next  available sister that's insensitive to the Spirit. 

The brothers have the “na them they rush us” mindset.

They admire him because of the anointing and grace of God in his life, thinking they are enough qualities to build a healthy relationship.

Sisters, there are certain qualities you must look out for before accepting a proposal from a brother in Christ, even if he has raised 10 dead people and is an influential minister.

 This is because not every bro in Christ actually bears the 'fruit of the spirit'. 

You don't just need a brother that has the gift of the Spirit at work in him,  but you a brother that has the fruit of the spirit at work in him.

 One of such fruit is the is fruit of 'faithfulness'. 

If he not faithful to God he will not be faithful to you, that should be your number one check.

Every lady wants a faithful man, you can know from his fruit if he will stay in the relationship or will be double dating. 

The fact he is a bro in Christ and very anointed does not mean you shouldn't do a check on his character (fruit).
