RELATIONSHIP/MARRIAGE!! Which Tribe Were You Warned Not To Date Or Marry From?
~1.5 mins read

Let’s Talk Realities…

While growing up, alot of us were told and warned not to date or marry from a particular tribe. Maybe your parents or guardian must have you not to date or marry from Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo with convincing reasons. I’m not sure about that tho, maybe I need to confirm that from you now.
Have you been told not to date or marry from a particular tribe before? Who told you that? And do you mind sharing what you were told with us, so that others can learn from it?
While I await your response, I would like to briefly share my own personal thoughts on this issue. I’m gonna do this in two ways.
Tribe has an impact on human behaviour, to be honest with you. Even though some of you might not agree. But that’s the truth.
Culture can influence people to think and behave some kind of way. But education, environment, religion, individual personality, parentage, upbringing, financial status etc can offset the negative cultural influences.
I was told not to date or marry my tribe person. The reasons were convincing and I held up to it till of recent, I decided to shake it off my head. Even as that, I’m still battling with it.
But in my opinion. It really doesn’t matter where your partner came from. Whether or not your parents warned you about the tribe. Someone’s tribe has nothing to do with their behaviour. Just pray and ask God for a better- partner, someone who is truely the one for you.
Now back to my previous questions..
Have you been told now to date or marry from a particular tribe before? Who told you that? And do you mind sharing what you were told with us, so that others can learn.

Which Tribe We’re You Warned Not To Date or Marry From?
