The media aide made this known on Thursday, January 14, in a piece "The Decent for the Indecent, the Just for the Unjust", asking Nigerians if they ever prayed for the troops at the frontline of the war against insurgency.

According to him, Nigeria must include the men of Nigerian security forces in their prayers while praying for material things like cars and money.

    Adesina added that Nigerians prolonging the war against insurgency in the northeast and northwest are the ones who do not pray.

"But victory is from God alone. That is what we must realise as Nigerians. Do we ever pray for our troops in the frontlines?

“As we pray; God give me money. Give me a car. Give me a promotion. Kill my enemies. Do it now. Do we ever remember our soldiers?

"Ere you left your room this morning, did you think to pray…did you pray for our soldiers? Victory comes from God alone. If you don’t pray, you may be guilty of prolonging the war in North-East, North-west, North-central, and all over Nigeria."

Meanwhile, amid tragic rises in insecurity across the country, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has urged President Buhari to sack the service chiefs.

Wike made the calls on Friday, January 15, during the ceremony organised to mark the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Port Harcourt, the state capital. According to the governor, the sack of the service chiefs will usher in fresh "ideas and strategy in tackling the threats to internal insecurity."

He also noted that Boko Haram, bandits and killer herdsmen are overrunning communities and randomly killing and abducting helpless people.
