"...I Will Call For A National Resistance For The Departure Of President Paul Biya"
~1.4 mins read

It WILL CALL AGAIN FOR A CAMPAIGN OF NATIONAL RESISTANCE AND DEPARTURE OF THE CURRENT PRESIDENT IF THE REPUBLIC, PAUL BIYA.

Prof Maurice Kamto, president of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameron (MRC), made this statement during a press conference in Yaoundé. This was on the 24th of August 2020.

The full puissant statement is conditional as he sharpened his tone

"If ever the regime in place ventures to organize the regional, I will call again for a campaign of national resistance and the departure of the current President of the Republic, Paul Biya".

Earlier on, the MRC had been mounting a national resistance plan which now hit harder, hit louder and is escalating as read in Kamto's statement.

He affirms that the convocation of the electorate must be done under two conditions.

The conditions for Maurice Kamto's statement to be prevented are:

First, the resolution of the crisis in the North West and South West and second, the consensual reform of the electoral system.

If this fails to happen, Kamto calls on the collective awareness of all Cameroonians.

He says that the fight for national resistance is entering a very delicate, crucial and critical phase presently.

Maurice Kamto launched the struggle in this statement:

“No one should miss this call. We must come out of the fierce dictatorship. The violence that will occur could therefore only be the act of the Biya regime. If the hour has come, then the hour has come. I will not betray you”.

Note that Maurice Kamto's is one of the unsuccessful presidential candidate of October 2018 in Cameroon.

Will Cameroonian heed to this call?
