Peer Pressure
~1.3 mins read
Peer pressure is a strong feeling, that one must do the same thing as others are doing so that you can belong or accepted to a group of friends or peers.
When you know your friends or people around you tells you or chooses you to do something you wouldn't otherwise do, because you want to feel accepted or valued then you are been influenced, at this point the most important thing is your mindset to do it or not, either positive or negative. And note: peer pressure or peer influence also comes in good ways, how?
* When friends or families caution you from bad things eg, Smoking, Killing, stealing, Cheating, bullying etc.
There are three(3) steps on peer pressure.
* The first step on peer pressure or influence goes to the parents. When there is a positive relationship with your child, the bond for your child to let you know what he or she will do before its done.
* The second step goes to you, everyone. Getting the balance right between being yourself and fitting yourself with your group, that is knowing bad and good.when to say yes or no.
* The third step goes to the friends we keep. If your friends are decent, you will be decent. If they do the right thing, you will do the same. Even the Bible talks on peer pressure in proverbs 13:20- he that walk with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
Dont let us forget as advanced as things goes now you don't need people to influence you, you can be influenced through the internet, social media.
Let us look within ourselves and do the right things.
Thanks

No Matter What Keep Moving
~0.8 mins read
“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.†“Only in the darkness can you see the stars.†– Martin Luther King Jr.
.
There were nearly a million things that would have stopped Queen Esther from moving forward! Things like tradition, fear of death, human advise from big uncles/aunties in the Lord, arrival of a late appointment letter from the king, fear of failure, etc, but she knew that it was either she did something fast (keep moving) or she would be consumed, together with her people.
What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make the end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from. Life is like a building that can be renovated and rebuilt from the scratch because ALL things will work eventually for your good!
Just keep moving!
