```HOW DO YOU LEAD??
~3.7 mins read
A young man saw his primary school teacher at a wedding ceremony.
He went to greet him with all respect and admiration!!
He said to him: "Can you still recognize me Sir?'
'I don't think so!!', said the Teacher, 'could you please remind me how we met?'
The student recounted:
"I was your Student in the 3rd Grade, I stole a Wrist watch belonging to my then classmate because it was unique and fascinating.
My Classmate came to you crying that his Wrist Watch had been stolen and you ordered all Students in the class to stand on a straight line, facing the wall with our hands up and our eyes closed so you could check our pockets. At this point, I became jittery and terrified of the outcome of the search. The shame I will face after other Students discovered that I stole the Watch, the opinions my Teachers will form about me, the thought of being named a ' thief' till I leave the School and my Parents' reaction when they get to know about my action. All these thoughts flowing across my heart, when suddenly it was my turn to be checked. I felt your hand slipped into my pocket and you brought out the Watch. I was gripped with fear, expecting the worse to be announced. I was surprised I didn't hear anything, but Sir, you continued searching other Students' pockets till you got to the last person.
When the search was over, you asked us to open our eyes and sit on our Chairs. I was afraid to sit because I was thinking you will call me out soon after everyone was seated.
But to my amazement, you showed the watch to the class, gave it to the owner and you never mentioned the name of the one who stole the watch.
You didn't say a word to me, and you never mentioned the story to anyone.
Throughout my stay in the school, no Teacher or Student knew what happened. This incident naturally taught me a great lesson and I resolved in my heart never to get myself involved in taking whatever is not mine.
I thought to myself, you saved my dignity."
"Do you remember the story now Sir? You can't simply forget this story Sir!!"
The teacher replied, ' I vividly remember the story that I found the Watch in a pocket but i did not know in whose pocket the stolen Watch was found that day because I searched your pockets while I also had my eyes closed."
In life, we need wisdom for everything we do. As Parents, Teachers, Leaders etc... We should be able to close our eyes to some things. Not all misbehavior requires punishment. Some will need encouragement, some mentoring and some monitoring.
Be a Leader who impacts not one who shatters.```
Great story
Thank You!
Misconceptions On My Equals
~3.8 mins read
1. A guy met one of his classmates several years after school and he could not believe his eyes; his friend was driving one of the latest stylish Mercedes Benz cars.
He returned home feeling awful and very disappointed with himself.
He thought he was a failure.
What he did not know was that his friend was a driver and had been sent on a mission with his boss's car
2. Rosemary always harass her husband for not being romantic.
She accused him of not coming down to open the car door for her as her friend's husband , Thompson, used to do when he dropped her off at work.
What Rosemary did not know is that Thompson's car had a broken door that could only be opened from the outside
3. Sampson's wife went to visit one of her long-time friends and was very disturbed to see her friend's three adorable children having fun.
Her problem was that she had only one child and had struggled to conceive for the last five years.
What she did not know is that one of those children who was her friend's biological child had sickle cell disease and had only one year to live; the other two are adopted.
4. Life does not have a universal measuring tool; so create your own and use it. Watching people and comparing yourself to them will not make you better but bitter.
If you know the kind of load that the chameleon carries, you would not ask why he takes those careful strides. So, enjoy what you have and be grateful to God for that.
All that glitters is not gold; live and be happy with what you have. Everyone goes through one thing or another.
Know that you are blessed.
Stop asking, *Why me?*
-My equals are getting married;
-My equals are with their child/children ;
-My equals have good jobs;
-My equals are succeeding;
-My equals live by the sea side;
-My equals are buying luxury cars;
-My equals are high dignitaries in society;
-My equals are building their homes;
-My equals are this ... !
-My equals are that ... !
Yes! it may be true.
But it's a shame that you literally forgot about your equals who are already buried,
-Your equals who are in a coma
-Your equals who are on kidney dialysis!
-Your equals who are in a psychiatric centre
-Your equals who sleep on the street
-Your equals who are orphans
-Your equals who are unemployed!
-Your equals who are hungry
-Your equals who are blind, deaf, and dumb
-Your equals with disabilities!
-Your equals who envy you and who always pray to have a situation similar to yours.
You may not be where you wanted to be.
But you are obviously happier than some people.
So give thanks to God for all He has been doing in your life.
Be yourself and never forget that when you look for sandals, there are those who do not even have feet
Hear the conclusion of the whole matter :
2 Corinthians 10:12 " For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise."
